Stopped by for Oktoberfest with my family yesterday and we were incredibly disappointed in the service of the hostess which soured a somewhat positive experience. My family and I started our afternoon hanging out on the patio and enjoying a beer, which were admittedly quite good. We did also order food which took almost half an hour to come out. We spent around $30 on half a chicken and humus, which for what we paid for was a bit disappointing. It also was a bit funny that food of that price was presented in to-go containers. At least try a little bit harder. The only positives were that the chicken was actually well seasoned despite being small. After some time of sitting in the partial sun, as the pergola provided very little shade, we moved to the balcony deck and it provided even less shade and was hotter. So, we attempted to sit in the dining room area. Rudely we were immediately confronted by the hostess who told us that the table was reserved and that we needed to wait in like to get a table, despite the fact that there were many open tables. Apparently you can’t just go inside and sit down here after spending almost $100 at the establishment. I don’t think I will return to this location as there are a ton of breweries in the area and this one is really nothing special.

Loved this new brewery! I went here with a few friends and we had a great time sitting at the rooftop bar while we waited for a table. The spirits are definitely pricey but super good! Once we got our table it was so hard to choose what to get because everything sounds delicious! For a starter, we got the loaded fries and they were very yummy! I don’t usually like barbecue but these were great! The meals we ordered were also all very good and we definitely want to come back soon to try the burgers. We can’t wait to hang out here in the summertime and enjoy the rooftop more!

Good food, no doubt…price is really the major issue here. Very small rocks glass for cocktails with lots of ice. Beer has a great taste though when I switched drinks. $18 fish chips, $10 Caesar salad, and two drinks and you’re over $50. Seating is a bit tight but works, just gonna be loud because of music on speakers, which honestly doesn’t add to the vibe. Let people just talk.
Bar service is good, but wait time for drinks from staff when sitting can be a little drawn out. Short on waitstaff???? No clue but it’s what we experienced. Outdoors area looks like it would be great but rain killed that. Not a negative on restaurant, just saying during a normal day it would be a good place for large groups.

Yes! New Realm is so good! We visited on. Friday during lunch. There was a decent crowd but not too crowded. All of the food was great but the hot fried chicken sandwich was amazing. The jerk bacon, the pickles, and the bun were the top tier! The fries were just okay. We also had the pretzel and the shrimp tacos. All were amazing. I didn’t love the rum punch. It had too much pineapple juice for me but I did like the old fashion. Will def be back. (Probably very soon)

I was in the area and decided to try it out ( I’ll try the Vabeach location next time). I ordered the Asian Loaded fries and the Cherry Limeade Cocktail for a late lunch, and this was delicious , definitely worth the stop and to fight the traffic back to Norfolk. They didn’t hold back on the fries,it was tasty, just enough bite and the pork was very good. I’ll definitely make a return trip here

Enjoyed the Caesar Salad + Grilled Shrimp (many shrimp ), the NEW REALM BURGER with House-Ground Brisket, Chuck & Short Rib topped with White Cheddar, House-made Sour Pickles, Special Sauce on a Brioche Bun!! and lastly the BEER BATTERED FISH & CHIPS with
Fresh White Fish, Coleslaw, & Tartar Sauce!! The Loaded Potatoes Soup was delicious.

Not impressed. Way overpriced and not very good. Smokehouse burger was dry and the patties weren’t even the size of the bun. The Cuban was tiny and the worst my husband has ever had. My daughter had the pasta and said it wasn’t too bad. My son had the hot chicken and said it was pretty good. The nachos were cold, barely had any cheese sauce, and came out the same time as the rest of the meal.

A large group (24 adults and kids) of us popped in Saturday afternoon when it was freezing outside, so everybody needed to sit inside. The hostess and manager quickly got us tables that were all in the same area. Our server, Brandi, was quick and efficient and extremely pleasant. All the drinks and food came out quickly too. Everybody was happy.

Decent food and beer selection. Not as good as the Va Beach location. Beer selection and wine selection could be better. Nice outdoor area but music was not as lively. Had to wait at indoor bar to order food and drinks and they bring it to your table. Kid friendly and dog park is cool. Good amount of TVs in each area. Add a little more atmosphere, drink selection and outdoor games would be better

Amazing experience at the New Realm Suffolk! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had the blackened fish sandwich and it was honestly the best I’ve had in Hampton Roads. Especially paired with their light Lager. I will definitely be back for that combo! The upstairs has some great seats with a view below as well as large TVs for sports. I really liked the fact they had an outdoor designated area dog park. Will definitely be bringing my French Bulldog back for all the beer hangouts! This is truly a new gem for Suffolk.
