This place was rated as #14 best burger in America, according to Yelp. Believe it! That French Pastry dough used to encase the two beef patties make for an excellent combination. This is a small woman owned business but has lots of passion and it shows in their food. Get either the Mac and Cheese or potato salad. Both are excellent side dishes. Outside seating only. Call ahead for pick up. If not, expect a 20 minute wait while they make your order fresh. Everything is freshly made every day. Ample parking in front. Great desserts as well. Outstanding!

Unique and delicious! We tried the beef and chicken burgers and they were so good. The spices and the pastry dough really showed that everything was homemade and made with love. Thyme and spicy chips were crispy and the portions were perfect. Everything is made to order and will take about 25 minutes to cook, so call ahead if you don’t want to wait.
We talked to one of the co-owners, Bliss, and she really cared about our experience and we could tell she had so much passion for the store which reflected in the food. We will definitely be back to taste more of the menu!

Food is amazing. Very juicy and soft! I love the beef burger inside puff pastries. The pastries are great. The Himalayan pink salt home made potato chips are also my favorite. Homemade potato salad is very fresh and delicious as mom made.

Please support this local business GEM! This is my first time trying Bear Bitez and I could absolutely tell that the owner/chef here puts lots of love and passion in creating her burgers. This is not your average burger. You can taste the time and effort she put in testing the flaky puff pastry, different blends of meats, and cheese to truly developing her flavor. The beef burger was amazing and incredibly juicy. I was expecting the chicken to be the same assembly as the beef so I was surprised when I found out it was Mexican inspired with a chicken patty, jalapeños, and a different cheese. I would love to try a shredded chicken version of this one. The owner told me before the pandemic they would be making the burgers every 20 minutes. Now with decreased foot traffic, they only make it to order so there is a wait but absolutely worth it. This is an amazing hard to find burger that I would certainly come back time and time again.

This place blew us away. The interior is pretty casual and seems like a simple takeout place, but the actual product is far and above fancier than you’d think! Flaky puff pastry encases fresh double patties with a bit of acidity from pickles and tomatoes. For the price, it’s a steal for this level of quality in craft and ingredients. I also loved their usage of local soda purveyors – the ginger beer has a serious kick to it.

The burger with French pantry with beef, chicken and veg. The taste is amazing. We had beef and chicken that day. Beef is very juicy and they even do the butcher part on their own. Chicken one the flavour is rich. We love both of them. Not to mention the local sourced beverage with cane sugar and chips.

So finally tried this place, and kicking myself for not going earlier. Great service, great food and great local spot! So let’s start with most important part…FOOD! My lady and I both got the beef. THEY DO NOT SELL OUT! Unlike other reviews we asked the owner, she says it’s the wait, if they just get into oven can take 20+ minutes. So they aren’t out for the day, just until new batch is ready. Our burger was delicious and that crust of the bread was delicious. Down side, you can’t customize. For me that’s not a problem, I like it how it is. For others, just try it, really, even my lady is picky and she liked it, so just try it. We got 1 of each style chip to try them all. I loved the hot, but thyme and salt were good too. The soda is made in Alameda so its local and it’s delicious. We also got a chocolate and white chocolate chip cookies. They are made fresh daily and they are so soft and delicious.
Service, owner (believe she is since pix are on the wall) was very nice. She helped us order, made sure we were ok with the wait of the beef (10-15 mins) and then followed up to be sure we liked everything. Very nice, very professional, great service.
Cons: 3 tables and a bar style seating. So not much room, but that’s ok, either squeeze in or take it to go! Worth it.
I will be back again, this place rocks! Try it as the chef prepared it and you won’t be disappointed!

This is stuffed pastry which looks like a burger. Took few minutes as it is baked after you order. It was flaky, hot and really yummy. The thyme chips were really good as well. I would love to try an actual burger made using the same bun with some fresh greens. Will be coming back again.
