Food is wonderful! Service is fast & friendly (they know me by name now ).
The swine fries are delicious. The chicken plate has been huge both times & well prepared. The baked beans & the collards are so yummy. Always ordering the Brunswick stew because yum. Definitely give them a try, you won’t regret it! ✨

The BBQ nacho’s are so good! I used to go to Moe’s original BBQ for nacho’s but this will be my go to now. We tried the Brunswick stew it’s delish and southern old school style. The brisket, grit’s and collard’s are great too! I’ve never had grit’s like the homemade one’s they make there. Can’t wait to try the chicken salad and loaded fries next go around. This place did not disappoint.

We finally tried Moonshiners Bqq yesterday. It was pretty good. I decided to have rib bones only, whereas my mother chose the dinner with slaw and baked beans. We were delighted with our meal. The food was of high quality, tender, and flavorful. In response to customer concerns about the spicy BBQ sauce, the restaurant now offers a mild version, which we selected. I also asked for extra sauce on the side. We will certainly dine there again. Thank you!

We were at Benning for my son’s Turning Blue ceremony and we wanted to try GA BBQ. This place is a tiny little spot with a smoker in the back. Limited parking.
Ribs were *perfectly* cooked. Not “falling off the bone”-mushy, but tender and meaty. Large spare ribs. Maybe the most perfect cooked ribs I’ve ever had – they tasted a bit bland, but that’s probably on me; I decided to go without sauce. Next time I’d get the sauce and I’m absolutely confident they be great.
The brisket was simply…outstanding. Perfectly cooked, great flavor. Could taste the smoke, but it wasn’t overpowering. No weird spices. The salt and pepper was exactly right.
I’ve eaten brisket all over the country and typically it’s anywhere from 35-45 dollars a pound. How these guys staying in business selling brisket for 20 dollars a pound is beyond me. Brisket that good, I’d have paid double and still considered it a great value.
DEFINITELY will eat there again when my son gets out of RASP.

Simply the best ribs and brisket in town and I have tried them all. Great smoke ring on the meat. Good flavor. Beans and corn grits were good. Sauce is a variation of the Carolina mustard sauce if you like it. FAST service. Hot food. Really just a take out place.

Great place! BBQ was solid, Boudin balls were some of the best we’ve had, and the corn grits were to die for! Prices were hard to beat!

The barbecue was really good. Highly recommended and the prices are very good. Not expensive at all to grab a bite. I’ll definitely be going back.

Drove by and saw this place – came in for a quick bite. Excellent brisket, melts in your mouth. My friend from up north asked about the Brunswick Stew and they were kind enough to educate him on what that is. Great value, large portions. Delicious food will recommend to friends and family and to my Northern friends!

My first experience did not disappoint. Some of the best Ribs I’ve ever had. Tender juicy with a legit smoke ring and just enough chew.
Also want to say thank you for the buddan and crawfish etufe sample. Hopefully they will make the menu soon.
Will definitely be back and maybe they’ll start door dash if they haven’t already. I like to support the small business owners of columbus and i wish them much success.
Sorry no pictures. I ate it all too fast!
