The food was absolutely delicious, like my husband says. “It’s a hole in the wall” hidden in plan site but reasonably priced food and the quality and serving is very well served. The ambiance feels like an old Mexican style house. They did take awhile to serve us but they were quite busy. I’d love to come again to bring my parents and try something new on the menu.

The service was fast and efficient. The shredded chicken, cheese and beans on a two flour tortilla were good. The salsa didn’t make me sweat, but my nose did run.

Went for lunch. Wasn’t busy only a couple of tables. Food took a long time to make. Steak ranchero didn’t have any flavor. The sweet tea tasted like dirty water. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was very disappointed.

The breakfast was okay for the price, the Huevos Rancheros are okay for $3.99 you get 2 eggs & refried beans (the bacon was extra).

I will start by saying that the eggs were cooked perfectly over medium, the salsa is delicious not spicy with the right flavors, the salsa is cooked in i believe “queso panela” which gives the salsa a more delicious taste, the refried beans were good and the tortillas also.

My biggest concern was the terrible tasting bacon, it looked bad and tasted worst than bad, it tasted burnt and artificial I’m not sure how to describe the taste.

Overall the breakfast is okay, but it isn’t the kind of restaurant I would come with my friends or loved ones.

Super friendly staff. Came for breakfast tacos and was not disappointed. Fresh flour tortillas we delicious. The Barbacoa with onions & cilantro was probably my favorite and one of the better barbacoa tacos I’ve ever had. Great experience and will plan to be back.

A little hidden gem in the valley. The food is always delicious and service is friendly. This weekend I tried their breakfast tacos (bacon and egg & chicharron) and boy were they amazing! Definitely recommend this location if you want to truly enjoy a home cooked meal and support local business.

Good home-cooked type meals at a very reasonable price. They have many customers who keep returning and feel at home at this restaurant. Glad to know of this hidden place in downtown Mcallen. Go out and support our local small business.
