On 10/1/205 at 9:28 PM, I placed an online order through the Subway app. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order, I was told that it had not been made. Despite asking multiple times about my order, the staff did not respond and continued working without addressing me. Their behavior was dismissive, unprofessional, and irresponsible.
Eventually, one staff member told me to cancel the order myself. However, I explained politely that I did not have the option to cancel through the app and asked if she could cancel it on their end. She refused, insisting that cancellation could only be done by me. This was very frustrating since the mistake originated from the restaurant, not me as a customer.
Due to this lack of assistance, I had no choice but to leave without my order. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially given Subway’s reputation for customer service.
I kindly request that this issue be investigated, and that appropriate steps be taken to address the service quality at this location. I also request a refund for the order that was never prepared or delivered.
What I got instead… was a cosmic unraveling between two Freemans and a man screaming about Tahiti.
I walk in—immediately it smells like toasted regret. The worker looks me dead in the eyes and says,
“You’ve finally arrived.”
Before I can reply, Morgan Freeman’s voice fills my head like smooth jazz:
“He simply wanted lunch… but fate had a different flavor in mind.”
Then—bam—Dutch van der Linde kicks open the bathroom door yelling,
“We just need one more sandwich, Arthur! Then we go to TAHITI!!”
(Note: I am not Arthur.)
I try to leave. I physically cannot. The sandwich artist is already crafting a sub I didn’t order. The lettuce is levitating. The pickles are screaming. The toaster hisses like it’s possessed. Freeman whispers:
“He asked for spinach… but what he received… was trauma.”
At this point, I notice Gordon Freeman standing silently near the drink machine.
He’s holding a crowbar. Covered in sweet onion sauce. He gives me the nod—you know the one—and then smashes the soda fountain. Nobody flinches.
Dutch starts drawing a map to Tahiti on the sneeze guard using spicy mustard. I take one bite of the sandwich… and reality folds. I am in Black Mesa. I am on a beach. I am the sandwich.
When I woke up, I was outside, barefoot, holding a cookie I don’t remember ordering. The word “Tahiti?” was scribbled on the wrapper in marinara.
