Our first attempt at sushi in Ajijic and it was very good! My husband had nigiri and I had the Omega 3 roll and a salmon skin temaki roll. My favorite part was their welcome host, Uni. He didn’t say a lot but he kept us more than entertained throwing the ball for him while we waited on our sushi!

Fun staff and owner, interesting to talk to. The food is prepared well with appearance and taste in mind. The sushi is tasty and fresh, and the octopus nigiri was fun but not that great, and the vegetable tempura had too many bell peppers and not enough veggies with substance. Everything else was fabulous, sushi, soup, and salmon.

Best sushi restaurant lakeside, and maybe the best restaurant overall! Chef Allan prepares his cuisine with professionalism, pride, and artistry. Although he has a myriad of Japonese dishes, udon, teriaki, teppanyaki, gyoza, and so much more… I go for the sushi. Freshest, tastiest, beautifulest. Well maybe the most beautiful presentation imaginable. Try it. Even Mikey likes it!

Super disappointed. The pictures on Google made this look incredibly authentic and tasty but having spent 30 dollars for two basic rolls and an udon pasta it was a let down. Of course the menu doesn’t have any photos to help either. Condiments were also scarce, ginger was pinched

Great sushi in a cozy, comfortable, contemporary space. There were 5 of us. We enjoyed a variety of Sushi – Hamachi, Vegetable Tempura, Miso Soup, Dynamite Rolls, Tampiko with Surimi Roll, California Roll with Pulpo, Teriyaki Bowl and more – all, delicious, fresh and beautifully presented.

I really like to give a restaurant a decent review if the food is of good quality and the prices are reasonable. But have to say I was very disappointed. We ordered two rolls and the taste was very below average and the portions small. The worst part was the chicken teriyaki. It was so overcooked it was barely edible. The rice was hard and dry and tasted like it had been sitting around all day. We have been in Ajijic approximately 2 month and ate at a lot of good restaurants. This was definitely the worst meal we’ve had here.
