I went to The Q for my birthday, and what a wonderful experience it was. The wait staff is so pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is huge and a wide open space. It was so clean. The bar was very well stocked. The music was “on point”. I don’t know who the deejay is, but he is dope for real. I didn’t get a chance to hear any poetry, but I’ll catch it next time. The atmosphere was very calm and chill. The customers were very relaxed. I mean this restaurant is a hidden jewel in our community. I had no idea this place was so amazing. I’m excited to see how well this business continues to do in the city. Now – let’s talk about the food. First, the menu was extensive to me. There was so much to choose from. I ordered the bbq shoulder, greens, coleslaw and cornbread. Before 7pm, the margaritas are $5. Try the raspberry!!! It’s off the chain. My friend had the cheeseburger that look like it came on grilled “to perfection” Texas toast. It came with a million fries, and she also ordered onion rings. What I’m trying to say is . . . The Q is everything and more. I will definitely be back. That’s for sure!!!!

My family has ate Ashley fries for countless generations. We never knew there were additions to the fries. We were used to how they usually came. Besides that this restaurant is worth coming to. Spending time at. Here is a safe haven for anyone to enjoy music. Spoken word. This is a great place to vibe out and enjoy a delicious meal at the same time. Come down to Qs !!!

I am SO disappointed (and I usually don’t write reviews). I have been eating at Ashley’s for awhile and haven’t eaten here many times with no issues. However tonight I just left there and again am so disappointed. I waited over 30 minutes for my food (some chicken and shrimp and grits). No one ever came up to me to explain why it was taking so long. Then I got my food home I have a big bowl of grits with 5 shrimp or less shrimp in it. My chicken is cold (and I came straight home) and the fries were so soggy looking. The part that is REALLY horrible was the amount I paid just to have this mess. I’m done horrible. I only gave one star because that was the only way I could write a review.

As a real estate agent who loves MILWAUKEE, it’s ULTIMATELY IMPORTANT to acknowledge when YOU ARE HANGRY. Tonight, I had 3 drivers cancel on me via Uber eats on another local BBQ joint after an hour- but ffffff does this place COME THRU to the RESCUE after my struggle! After an hour waiting in the other place who cancelled on me several times, this place DELIVERS! I commonly work in this area, and this place NEVER fails!!! To “the Q” – THANK YOU, this place SLAPS, I tip my driver extra, you are my NEW FAVORITE . Pic of my own kitchen table, the humans and pup are happy!!!!

Very chill, family like environment. Today Thursday was Buy on Get one drinks (not including some top shelf) and Game night. They have a great variety of table games to play, from cards to play spades, dominoes, to connect four. For sure going back for the Wings (Buttery Cajun)

It was a decent time. Upon entering at 9pm the music was bumpin like a club. I made my 14 yr old wait at the door while seeing if he was allowed in or not. There was a bar, dj and plenty seating. The hostesses were very nice and friendly. They will bring you a hookah menu and drink menu.
My son and i ordered two appetizers. Seafood fries and Ashley fries. Seafood fries were delicious and the Ashley fries had a bit too much fat from the pulled pork and fries cooked a bit too hard
I had coleslaw and mac and cheese sides. About $4.50 a piece which is expensive for the small amount you get. Coleslaw was alright but the mac and cheese is a pass. I wouldnt order that again. They should try a new recipe with a little more seasoning.
I wanted alfredo but i couldnt see paying $17 for noodles and sauce. That is the price with no meat and no sides.
So for 2 appetizers and 2 sides, we both had water, total was $38.

Dined in and ordered the rib tips, greens, and macaroni. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Best BBQ in the city. I also tried my friends Turkey leg which was amazing and fell off the bone. The restaurant was cleanly, had a good vibe, and played good music. The owner and employees very nice also! Definitely going back.

My third time at The Q since my return to my birth home and they continue to provide excellent service. I had the opportunity to meet with the owner’s son and he was a great host ( besides the jokes about Ohio ) From the greeter, the host, server and the owner, I received quality service and the friendliness was superb. The food was worth the experience.. again. Definitely will return.

The wait was not long considering they make all orders fresh to go . When I got home I enjoyed my Soul Food burrito and dessert which was banana pudding which was also yummy ! Nice energy in the restaurant and the food was wonderful! I’ll be back and I hope it stays the same
