First time at AVVA and we will be back. Delightful small inside dining room with ample space outside (covered porch that can be heated) and they are adding on another room. Tea was delicious. Pita bread was fresh and tasty. The meze offerings were outstanding and beautifully presented. The beef shish kabob was cooked perfectly. All around we will make sure to return!

Fresh, delicious food. Cozy atmosphere. Great service. Came back 2 days in a row because I couldn’t decide between the chicken or beef kabobs. I had to try both. They both were amazing. My wife orders the bronzino. Pistachio baklava was fabulous. We highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding—everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The meats were perfectly seasoned and cooked, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. We were also a large group of 15, and everything was accommodated perfectly.

Finally Pittsbugh has good Turkish food. I am in and around pgh since 2013. There was many places not good. I visited my mother in law and wanted to treat her with Turkish food. We didn’t have chance to dine out in Washington DC. AVVA was more than I was expecting. We ordered mix kebap plate for 2 and branzino and beet salad. Unfortunately couldn’t stay for dessert. Mother in law was impressed, hopefully she will take us there next time 🙂

Our furat time to AVVA was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful but small with limited indoor space so we sat in the covered Bermuda room which surrounds the place. It was heated and comfortable. Service was good, not special. But the food was excellent. Ample portions, fresh ingredients and just the right spices. 2 appetizers, 3 meals, 3 drinks came to $140. We’ll surely go there again.

Small but mighty, this restaurant is incredible. An excellent mix of Mediterranean and Turkish options. They serve alcohol and even have classic Yeni Raki which is a Turkish Anise based liquor (they dilute with water and it becomes milky!). This is very hard to find here, unlike the Greek version (Ouzo). We visited to celebrate a family event and I absolutely cannot wait to come back for brunch.

I celebrated my birthday here before. Today we celebrated my best friend’s birthday. Here is a very perfect place. It is even the place where you can taste the best Turkish cuisine in Pittsburgh. The service , atmosphere are amazing and staff is very warm and friendly. I will definitely come again and recommend to my friends.
