Never disappointed when going here. They were ready to close one evening and didn’t turn us away. Their cheese dip added to salsa is amazing. Burgers are amazing. Love the fries. Mexican food is amazing. Have never had a meal here that I didn’t enjoy. The waitresses are always very attentive and the other staff members are great. Great place to eat that has something for everyone on the menu.

Good home style food. Had to wait a bit but, it was because the restaurant was standing room only. Servers were busy hustling from table to table. Owners and staff were very friendly. Chicken sandwich was huge. Excited to try more from their menu. Good sized portions for all the items we ordered. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Food was hot and fresh.

The food was exceptional. Lots of different choices but we go there for the big burritos supreme and the Sancho supreme. Have heard this business is closing dec 22 and will reopen about a month later and opening a family style resteraunt. I hope they discover that this is a bad idea and stay like they are. Yes they have been open for quite sometime but I want my kids to be able to try some quality food and friendly wait staff.

This is not a Poncho’s any longer. The new name is Leon’s. They have new owners, menu, and have remodeled the inside. It has a home style menu, and a comfortable atmosphere. The food is slightly above average depending on what you choose to order. However I’m a bit picky on what I eat. Try for yourself, I think you will like it better than the old Poncho’s.

Average fare – limited selection of sides – no substitutions allowed – Chicken Fried Chicken in chicken fried steak are obviously Frozen and cooked on site, instead of being hand battered and homemade… Which is very noticeable and doesn’t taste the best of the could, especially for the price. Was hoping for better for a new and improved restaurant in Ottawa, but yet again, you have another average restaurant.

I loved this place as a kid and so I had to bring my kids to try it. Sadly the food wasn’t as good as I remembered and none of us finished our meals. I will always have fond memories of this place but I will not be going back.

If I could give this place half a star I would, we had 4 dinners and none of them were any good. The shrimp tacos were flavorless and made with salad shrimp I even found a price of burnt bacon in one, the hard tacos had barley any meat and no cheese, the rice was horrible and the beans were horrendous. The only thing with flavor was the cheese dip.

Great Service, Good Food. I love the cozy, home feel they have with a dinerish twist minus breakfast and add American/Mexican food. As a side note Ponchos will be no more come 2018. They will be renaming to Leon’s and changing the Menu.

Family owned, I know cause my family runs it lol. The food is amazing, and I’m not saying that because it’s family, you can ask my boyfriend. The burgers are amazing, appetizers, amazing! It’s worth the drive.

Not impressed at all. Ordered an Ultimate Burrito and it was good but didn’t realise that it was deep fried. My husband had Chicken fried steak dinner. Definitely was not homemade but rather pre battered and not very big. The salad was a container of shredded lettuce and shredded cheese with a few chopped tomato pieces and sliver of green pepper. Chips and cheese was good but mild salsa taste like tomato soup.A little pricey for what we got. ☹
