Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor — especially the hamachi tasting, toro tartare, and the mixed mushroom hand roll, which was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the freshness and care that go into every bite.
What made the night even better was the exceptional service. From the host to the manager, everyone was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The manager came by multiple times to check on our experience, explained ingredients in detail, and answered all of our questions with so much passion and knowledge.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines great food, great ambiance, and such sincere hospitality. Mosonori truly deserves all five stars — I’ll definitely be back when I visit Orlando again
My friend had the tiniest piece of shell in one of her hand rolls, she silently took it out of her mouth and put it on her plate. Didn’t say anything, we all work in a sushi restaurant, we get it and wasn’t going to say anything. The chef observed this, went over to the manager and the manager came over, apologized, comped it off the check and offered to make a new one!!! We didn’t say a single word, they were just observant and hospitable!
Great experience, will definitely return next time in town.
Service, excellent.
Food, not bad. And thats why im disappointed.
I love Kabooki, I go there every other week with friends, I truly believe Chef Henry cracked the code there. So the same should be said at Mosonori? Unfortunately not. Past the decor and service, I simply wasnt impressed. Was it good? Yeah….but since this place has Chef Henrys stamp of approval, maybe thats why I am demanding more, possible even the best.
I felt like beyond the concept of a hip high end, but also chill hand roll bar, there isnt much substance. I understand hand rolls are straightforward: nori + rice + fish/whatever filling, but i dont see that extra 20% wowness to add that level of premium experience.
I suggest looking at Edoboy’s hand rolls. Presentation of hand roll, the way each hand roll is crafted, the ease of eating the rolls, all top tier. Those little things matter when you scale up on premium experience.
I believe this place has it all to be the next it spot for years to come, but I fear some might catch on beyond the cozy vibe: just another high end sushi spot.
…..also the salmon was a little slimey the day we went, and yall ran out of uni…. Next time. 🙂
If you want a fish burrito, it’s a very good spot
It was hard to have a conversation because of the bar seating. A booth would be much better, however, this place is too small to have one.
Edit: Quality doesn’t seem as good as before, and they no longer have our favorite vegetarian special roll.
The rolls are cylinders, not cones as traditional, and that the unfortunate result that fillings will squeeze from the far end. Prices are ok, a bit high for what it is and they have little sets of 3, 4, and 5 temakis, as well as other sets, plus ordering a la carte. Flavors and fish quality are good.
18% service automatically added to Bill regardless of party size.
