Tucked in a modest Torrance plaza off Crenshaw Blvd, **Di Prima Pizza** is the hidden Brazilian pizzeria that instantly transports you to São Paulo—**location felt like traditional Brazilian food** with that lively, no-frills energy: colorful murals, samba beats softly playing, and the aroma of thin-crust pies loaded with exotic toppings wafting from the brick oven. It’s casual and welcoming, perfect for a quick slice or family dinner.
The menu boasts **lots of choices**: from the classic Margherita to wild Brazilian twists like calabresa (spicy sausage with onions), catupiry cheese with corn, or even dessert pizzas with brigadeiro chocolate. I went for the **Brazilian pizza** special—mozzarella, hearts of palm, olives, oregano, and a drizzle of olive oil on a crispy-yet-chewy crust. Flavors pop with that authentic South American flair—savory, fresh, and surprisingly addictive. Portions are generous (a medium feeds three easily), and it’s **cheaper than a flight** to Rio—under $20 for a feast that satisfies cravings without the jet lag.
Service is friendly and efficient—staff chat about recommendations with genuine enthusiasm, and orders come out hot in under 15 minutes. Convenient spot near the 405, with plaza parking (when it’s not full).
That said, minor deductions: prices lean **expensive** for pizza ($15-25 per pie), **parking** can be a hassle during peaks (shared lot with other shops), and the bold toppings might **not be for everyone’s taste**—if you’re a purist pepperoni fan, the adventurous combos could feel overwhelming.
Still, Di Prima earns a strong 4.5 for that immersive Brazilian pizza experience in Torrance. It’s a fun, flavorful detour from standard slices—I’ll be back for the calabresa next time. Worth the visit if you’re craving something different!
I had to pull together a last minute dinner after work because my wife was busy, and the team recommended their take & bake pizza. It was incredibly easy. All I had to do was preheat the oven to 500°F, place the pizza in for about 5 minutes, and it came out tasting like it had just been served fresh at the restaurant.
We ordered half mushroom & truffle and half pepperoni, and both sides were amazing. The crust came out perfectly crisp, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were fantastic.
We also tried the Arugula Dolce salad, which paired perfectly with the pizza. And for dessert we had the banana dulce de leche calzone, which was incredible.
Honestly, it felt like restaurant quality pizza straight out of our own oven.
Best pizza in the South Bay!
You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and make everything with care. The taste brought me straight back to Brazil. I’m 100% satisfied and will definitely be ordering again.
10/10 — highly recommended!
The flavors are outstanding. Every bite is rich, well-balanced, and delicious, with toppings that complement the dough perfectly instead of overpowering it. Nothing tastes artificial — everything feels fresh and authentic.
Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. If you appreciate great dough and bold, well-crafted flavors, this place is a must-try.
Di Prima Pizza Speciale is hands-down one of the best pizza places around. The owners are Brazilian, and you can totally feel that warm, welcoming vibe as soon as you walk in. What makes this place extra special is how they mix Brazilian flavor with classic Italian pizza—and somehow still make it a hit for everyone, even if you just love a good old-school American-style pie.
The pizzaiolo is award-winning (yeah, for real), and every slice proves it. The crust is perfectly crispy, the ingredients are fresh, and the combos are super creative without being over the top. Whether you’re into something traditional or want to try something a little different, they’ve got you covered.
Bonus points? The location is great and parking is super easy—no stress at all, which makes grabbing pizza here even better.
If you’re looking for a spot that nails the flavor, has good vibes, and is easy to get to, Di Prima Pizza Speciale is the place. You’ll definitely be back after the first visit!
Highly recommend!
