Very nice lady at the counter, greeted with enthusiasm. We got the General T’s chicken, fried vegetable dumplings, rangoons, & Thai fried rice. The hit was the Thai fried rice, the other stuff … not so much… it was disappointing. I think style is their style, but not ours.

Just got two lunch specials and was greeted at the door by a nice woman behind the counter. She asked if I was busy, I must have seemed to be in a rush. I told her I had just awoken from a long slumber and it’s none of her beeswax. All in all the lunch specials were large portions and the food tasted good. Red Ginger gets two and a half big booms. Boom! BOOM! BOOM!

First off I had food delivered to the hotel I was staying at I had to meet the delivery driver in the lobby to get my food which wasn’t even a problem I’m in a big hotel I get it but when I asked for my change the delivery driver complained that I only tipped him 2 dollars “2 dollars not very good tip” I literally just had to come get my food and your complaining about a tip?! VERY unprofessional and rude. I shouldn’t have tipped at all after that not to mention I tipping on a 20 dollar order. You expected me to what give you the 10 dollars?! And the fried chicken was disgusting no breading at all and burnt. No mambo sauce here or half and half for dmv Chinese EXTREMELY disappointing if I could leave zero stars I would.

This was my first time ordering from Red Ginger. A friend of mine previously ordered the Kung pow chicken, which was very good so I decided to try Red Ginger myself. Overall good experience however I was disappointed with the General Tso chicken. The breading on the chicken was very soggy which is probably from the sauce. I definitely wasn’t a fan of that and the chicken was not crispy at all very squishy like texture respectfully. This is my first experience ever having that dish made that way. I definitely want to give them one more shot though maybe it was just an off day for them. I will try one more time nonetheless.

I’ve been ordering from Red Ginger for years, and I’ve never been disappointed. The Gen. Tso’s chicken is great, and I love their Chicken Lo Mein. I usually get egg rolls too. Best Chinese delivery around. I really want to try a few different dishes, so maybe I’ll try a few more and leave another review.. Five Stars from my experiences.

Pretty good. Ordered General Tso’s white meat, Sesame Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Pork. On par with typical decent takeout. Not special, but would order again.
Good portion sizes. Tso’s has a bit of a kick.

First, the food was picked up so it was fresh and tasty overall. It was my first time eating at Red Ginger, so I was a bit taken aback by the restaurant itself, as it could use a bit of updating and a fresh coat of paint. But, looking past that and acknowledging that it appeared clean…I ordered the following. Chicken with black bean sauce extra spicy, Crispy Pan Noodles with Chicken and veg, 2 regular egg rolls, wonton soup and hot and sour soup. The customer service was excellent and as I said the food was delicious overall. Now, the big question, will I return? To be honest I do not know If the following things change I would…1.) Add some other vegetables to the egg rolls other than cabbage and a few onions. I know that they also have a “Special egg roll” on the menu but would a few carrot shreds and a bit of green from cilantro cause a major cash loss? 2.) Five Spice Powder is a fickle mistress. Add too much and she will overpower the dish, add to little and that authentic Asian flavor we know and love will seem lost. What is interesting about this is I asked for extra spicy and received none and at times found the 5 spice overwhelming. Thank goodness I had my own chili ️ oil at home. I appreciate the food we had last night and who knows what the future holds, but I think Red Ginger could be 5 star with just a few tweaks…they are almost there.

Red Ginger has been my go-to Chinese take out place for a long time. I’ve tried a many of their menu items over the years and they do a great job every time. I’d highly recommend Red Ginger 🙂
