We like Koeb’s. It’s within walking distance to us so it’s nice to go there and have a nice little quiet drink and a conversation. I just wish they would catch up with the times and accept cards. It’s strictly cash only, and the owner is dead set against accepting cards, to the point that he got very confrontational when we asked why he doesn’t. Since then we still go in, but we make sure the owner isn’t working. It just doesn’t make sense in a day when people don’t always carry cash and you have several cheap merchant services options such as Square.
I also wish that they would keep consistent hours. I understand if you’re not busy you don’t want the expense of staying open, but after several times of going down well before their scheduled closing time and finding them closed… We just give up. We would rather head to a place that we know will be open when they are scheduled to be open. So basically now the only time we stop is on our way home if we happen to notice they are open.

Went in night before thanks giving for a drink after work The owner Steve asked me what I was having I said I would take a pbr. He said just one? I said yes please. He looked at me and told me to have a good night and a happy thanks giving and was instructed to leave. Will not be going back and will be sharing the word. Go to big shots. Way better bar
