i ordered by uber eats, jerk chicken with festival, chicken and beef patties and a side of cabbage. the jerk chicken was ok…not very spicy and i’m not sure how it’s prepared but it doesn’t really have that smoky, grilled flavor. i also wish the sauce was to the side. the festival was pretty good. the cabbage was inedible—for some reason it was sweet. it’s like someone dumped a bunch of sugar in. who wants sweet cabbage?? the patties were good. i probably wouldn’t eat here again.

I dont understand how they have a 4 star rating. i paid 100 dollars for fish that i believe was warmed up and not cooked fresh. I was so disappointed after a long day of travel (with this as my first and only meal). i initially ordered oxtails, the owner called me to tell me the oxtails were not ready and to cancel my order. However, they accepted the order, so I could not cancel without paying 82 dollar fee!!!!! They then substituted my oxtails for stale over cooked fish. I am still hungry and so angry that Im going to cancel my Uber account!
I hate that I was HELD HOSTAGE to sub-par food and service. The Uber delivery person confirmed that the staff had horrible attitudes. Oh, and rhey were extremely slow!

This food was very unpleasant. I usually don’t leave bad reviews. If the food is subpar I would not return. Today, I just wanted some great Jamaican food during my layover, I tried Jam rock. Being from a food capital city like Chicago I know I can be bias but I’m very open to great food from other cities, Unfortunately, this food order was a waste. The chicken didn’t seem fresh, the Mac and cheese was tremendously dry and I asked for a side of yams and received one yam. ONE! I have no idea what happened but I hope I just caught this establishment on a bad day. Never again!

I ordered from this restaurant today on door dash. I was a little apprehensive because I had never ordered here before. A lot of times with Jamaican restaurants, it’s a hit-or-miss. I can tell you now, I don’t regret ordering. I got oxtail’s, with rice and peas and cabbage . It was delicious. Very authentic. They weren’t skimpy about giving a good portion of oxtails. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been looking for Mac and Cheese in this area for DAYS!!! So many places have disappointed me but this plate actually had SOUL. A medium plate of jerk chicken, rice and collard greens cost me about $18, but you can tell by the long lines that the food is worth it. The pair are patient and friendly. Support your local black owned businesses! 10/10 will have again.
