This is one of the only brick and mortar hot chicken joints in Mt Juliet to my knowledge. They are 100% in a category of their own. Always fresh. Always tasty. Definitely always spicy. This is their hot and they have two tiers above hot so if you aren’t used to spicy food start with medium

“Great Service and Delicious Chicken!”
I had a wonderful experience at BJ Hot Chicken. Honestly, I didn’t expect much at first—but the chicken turned out to be incredibly good!

As a Korean who’s had countless fried chickens, I can confidently say this place truly stands out. The crispy texture and bold flavors were spot on—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.

I visit this location often and order the same thing every time. The chicken is always good however the sides are a miss. This past Saturday I placed my usual with extra crispy fries. I got home and the fries were mush almost as if they had been soaked in water. Naturally I was unable to eat the meal I paid for so I called , spoke to the manager, and he said to come back to have the order remade. I asked could I stop by tomorrow and he said yes. When I got there suddenly it was we will only remake the fries. I said sure that is fine but when a customer pays for a combo meal they intend to eat the meal together. Not eat the chicken one day the drive back to the restaurant to eat the fries the next day. That is why it is a combo because they come together. The appropriate thing to do would have been to apologize for the inconvenience and then remake the order in its entirety. If for no other reason but to make an effort to maintain the integrity of the customer’s dinning experience. Instead of receiving this feedback the manager proceeded to argue with me about my expectations for my dining experience that I paid for and never apologized. The whole interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional at best. It is unfortunate because the food is tasty for the most part. Things to note before placing an order here. The kitchen does have the tendency to not make your order how you requested and the manager has the propensity to be dismissive and go back and forth you instead of just fixing the issue that started in their kitchen.

First time here, but I’ll definitely be back. I had the hot chicken sandwich combo. It was really good. I only went with medium heat this time but will increase that on my next visit. Good size sandwich, and the fries were cooked perfectly. The service was great. Friendly Cashier.

We’re hosting some friends from Spain, and we wanted to introduce them to Nashville hot chicken before they traveled home. Due to some mixups on timing, arrived about 30 minutes before closing. Although they were setting up to close, they gladly accepted our party of 9 people.

We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, including chicken tenders, chicken breast & thigh, catfish sandwich, and the hot chicken bowl. While most of us got mild, a few got adventurous and ordered medium or hot. The staff even gave us a side of the hottest sauce for our guests to try.

They have bottled beers and a few on tap as well. We weren’t sure what we wanted, so they let us have a taste to find the right one.

All of the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were quite large. We had some leftovers for lunch the next day.

Admittedly, we stayed well past their 9pm closing time, but the staff never tried to rush us out or make us feel unwelcome. Our only regret was waiting too long to order one of their ice cream bars for dessert — they had already closed out the register.

We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making their Nashville hot chicken experience so awesome! And I’m glad that there’s a tasty hot chicken spot near us so we don’t have to drive into Nashville.

BJ’s still holds the crown for the best hot chicken in the area, and I’m not just saying that because I’ve been here more times than I should probably admit. Came back because the craving hit hard. This round I went with the “Hot” heat level instead of “Extra Hot.” Why? Because while I handled the Extra Hot last time, let’s just say the morning after felt like a tactical error.

The Hot 6-piece tender meal with double fries was spot-on. Juicy, well-seasoned chicken with that perfect crunchy coating. Fries were fresh, golden, and didn’t taste like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp. The bread and pickles do their job of balancing out the spice, and the blue cheese dip is a nice bonus if you’re into that sort of thing.

If you haven’t tried BJ’s yet, stop overthinking it. Walk in, order what looks good, and enjoy it. Just be smart about your heat level unless you’re looking for an experience you’ll be talking about for the wrong reasons the next day.

I finally tried BJs Hot Chicken in Mt. Juliet, and it lived up to the hype. Its opening in the last month also factors grace into this review. The chicken sandwich was solid: crispy, juicy, and with just the right amount of spice(I chose the hot level). The slaw and pickles were a perfect complement. Service was fast and friendly, too. I definitely recommend it

It’s missing something, and I can’t put my finger on it yet. Hattie Bs has the atmosphere down and solid food. BJs has the food, and eventually, the atmosphere will mesh once it’s not winter and outdoor seating/music is maximized.

A new restaurant while traveling. I found this near my overnight location.
It is an exceptionally clean business with good food. I wanted to try the cat fish but opted for the chicken. The staff were friendly. The food was good at a reasonable price.

This place hits the spot. The tenders are super crispy on the outside, nice and juicy inside, and have just the right kick—spicy enough to wake up your taste buds, but not so hot it ruins the fun.

The crinkle-cut fries are classic—golden, crispy, and totally addictive. They’ve got a light seasoning that adds just the right touch of flavor without overpowering anything. Dip ’em in some sauce and you’ve got yourself a perfect combo.

The folks working there are friendly and quick, and the food comes out fast and fresh. Prices are totally reasonable for the quality you’re getting.

If you’re a hot chicken fan, this spot definitely deserves a visit.
