My wife and I went to Benedetto’s to eat as we are always looking for different places to dine out on the beach. We were greeted by the owner and seated quickly. She told us our waiter would be right with us. The restaurant was nicely appointed with 7 other tables of customers, all small parties. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes later, our waitress finally came and took our drink order. Drinks were served and we waited quite a while for her to come back and take our orders. When she finally came to take our orders, my wife ordered their version of Shrimp and Grits and I ordered Chicken Marsala. Our food was served after a 30 minute wait and looked fairly good. The Benedetto’s Italian version on shrimp and grits was shrimp and polenta and looked fairly good. My Chicken Marsala had 4 tiny strips of chicken breast in it, the “shrimp and grits” was cold. My wife asked for it to be heated or a hot plate made. 40 minutes later I had finished my bland meal, my wife had still yet to receive and food. They then had the unbelievable gall to charge us for her food too.

Had a great dinner experience here. Everything from appetizers to the entrees to the desserts were divine. I highly recommend the Cheese Ravioli. If it would have been acceptable, I would’ve gotten three or four orders of it just for me! Our waitress was Crystal and she made sure that would were fully taken care of! I strongly recommend that you make this one of your stops on your vacation to Orange Beach!!

Great experience! The service was attentive and professional. The view of the marina was relaxing and the food, prepared from scratch (including the pasta) was exceptional. I had the chicken Marsala and my wife said her spaghetti and meatballs was the best she ever had.

Had an awesome lunch at Benedetto’s. Started with a salad with all kinds of greens dressed with a champagne vinegrette that had just enough sweet to offset the tart. Fettuccine Alfredo featured pasta that had to have been made that morning. Portion was enough to take some home for dinner. Our small fry diner had a flat bread pizza that was very yummy and was accompanied by a choice of fries or fruit. She was helped into choosing fruit and then had to fight us off from stealing some of her apples, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries AND blackberries. The restaurant decor is upbeat modern, tall tables and great views of the dock activity. Lovely place to relax and enjoy summer.

Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Not one thing was good about this place.
I had plastic in my salad. They forgot my drink. My pasta was dry. My desert was just a soupy mess instead of a cake. And to top it all we had to wait 45 min to an hour for our food.
Hopefully once they’ve been opened awhile they’ll get better. But the way it was going they wont last long.

Even the table next to us had a lot of problems. They returned their food.

FORT MORGAN SUPPER CLUB met at Benedettos Italian Restaurant on May 23, 2016. They just opened for business 10 days ago, and are located in Orange Beach above Wolf Bay Lodge Restaurant directly on the water at Zekes Landing. There is an elevator to assist those with difficulty climbing. The decor was appropriately Italian, with lots of charm. The menu was pricey and surprisingly had no veal or eggplant parmagini, nor lasagna. Our waiter, TJ, was pleasant and trying to make the best of a bad situation. The bread was a sliced Italian loaf, but it was not warm, and they had run out of garlic butter. They did not offer olive oil and pesto as most Italian restaurants do, but TJ did his best by creating an olive oil and fresh ground pepper plate for the bread. Meals were alacarte, and did not include a salad. Nor could you add a side salad for a nominal extra charge. You could buy a tossed salad large enough to share for $12. The appetizers were about $12 each and none were ordered. Each of the eight of us ordered something different for maximum sampling of the food. The tuna special at $26 was overcooked and not fresh. It was sent back. The chicken marsala was overcooked and dry. The pasta did not taste fresh. There was not one of the eight dishes judged outstanding. Prices varied from various flatbread items at $12 to an 8 ounce filet for $32. Each item is pictured in the Facebook FORT MORGAN SUPPER CLUB page with comments from those attending. The desserts averaged $8 and none were ordered. In summary Benedettos has birth pains and was disappointing to all. Service was slow on an almost dead night with only 3 tables of customers in the house. I can only imagine the chaos this weekend when the 100 days of Summer kicks off with huge hungry crowds EVERYWHERE.

If Imcould give this place a -1 I would. We arrived at 6:15 p.m., were seated and ordered soon thereafter. At 7:45, no food. We asked that it be served in to go boxes because of time constraints. When we finally got to our food, the pasta was sticky, and terrible. Save your money and try to find a nice place to eat.

My wife and I went there and it was our favorite food down on Orange Beach. The crawfish cakes were excellent. The entrees were great. And the view, spectacular. Go there.
