Customer service: younger guy at the cash register was great. The patrons don’t seem to like anyone very much. Place is really tiny and hard to navigate.

They keep changing the restaurant’s name, and the reviews look fake. When we went there, no one served us or even took our order after a 15-minute wait. Stay away. It used to be Japanese, then Chinese, then Pakistani, and now it’s a taco place.”

Food is delicious. However this time I was a little disappointed in the serving size. In the past I have ordered chicken corn soup and it was served in a pint container. This time I received half the serving. I called the restaurant and they said they were out of tall containers, but the amount was the same. This is definitely not a pint. At some point I got tired of arguing. Please see attached picture of soup serving size for 7.99

Terrible! Plates were dirty. Naan was room temp when it came to the table. Toilet was broken. Tikki masala had no spice and tasted only like yogurt.
Also $2 for a members mark water bottle. Who charges for water at a restaurant?

I was super excited to try this new place after coming home to visit my parents. We love Indian and Pakistani food. We were super disappointed. For the prices of the dishes, we really expected more in each dish. The flavors weren’t quite there and the steamed veggies looked like they came from a $1 freezer bag of frozen peas and carrots. We have amazing Indian food where we live in Virginia and for the price, this should have been way better than what we got.

Highly recommended! Not only was the food to die for, but the service was exceptional. They were friendly and warm and made us feel like we were more than just customers. We were given so many complimentary dishes out of the kindness of the boss’ heart. It is a great place for a group event or a party. It is clean and sanitary and it doesn’t feel too highbrow. It feels like you’ve walked into a festive cozy space without taking away from the restaurant experience. This place is more than just a business.

I was very pleased with the atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant. Because it was my first time, I had asked the owner for recommendations. He kindly suggested I try the Goat Biryani. That was the best decision I could make! The meat was tender and the spices were wonderfully balanced. I’ll definitely be going back again!

I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. This was our first time dining here. We stumbled across it actually going to another restaurant for dinner and I must say we have no regrets. My husband ordered the curry goat and I ordered the fried shrimp salad. For starters we tried the Lahori Fish hummus and garlic Naan. Delicious!

My boyfriend and I unexpectedly stopped in here to try something new for dinner and we are so glad that we did! Every bite of food at Monsalva was perfect and the service was even better. Calvin made sure that we tried classic staples from Pakistani cuisine and treated us like we were family. Couldn’t stop thinking about when we would come back! Highly recommend!
