Really good experience. Great food after valentines day brunch/ dinner situation. We got there a little earlier than our reservation and had only gotten acquainted with the dinner menu. Our server accommodated is since dinner was so close to the time we arrived. We did indeed run up a tab but it was worth it. It was reasonably priced fine dining situation. I enjoyed our server as he was very chill but also resourceful and if they were out of something he always offered another viable option that wasn’t bad. I would try to describe what I ordered but… I’ll just post the pictures and I’ll say that it was all really good. I would definitely return.

Excellent local or neighborhood seafood restaurant with good food, enthusiastic attendees, and a fun and casual ambiance! The main dishes were quite good and relatively inexpensive. The papaya salad was a bit blend – additional (squeezed) lemon juice and salt made it much better. A bit more fish sauce and spiciness would have made it even better!
Will certainly come again when we are in town.

To start Piotr, our bartender definitely set the tone getting us right with the best drinks we had in a long time. Not only was he well knowledgeable about the menu. But was able to make us drinks based on what we liked. It was my first time here but the rest of my crew seemed to be regulars . His interaction with the bar crowd was good and filled with good energy. The food was good including the sweet potato cheesecake. Which is seasonal. I enjoy the smash burger, but not so much the jerk chicken tacos . When I return I will try the pan -seared dumplings

I thought it was going to be a fancy, “white tablecloth and men in jackets” seafood restaurant. In fact it is very casual – more of a bar that is family owned. I watched the Super Bowl here. The area, the historic Kirkland neighborhood, is very interesting and charming! The wine selection here was international and refreshing, as well!

What a hidden gem! Cant believe i haven’t heard of this place before. From the jump, the server, Riley, told us to give him a moment to set up a preferred table for us which we appreciated. Riley was very nimble and welcoming giving us room to enjoy our meal but was there when we needed him.
Food was phenomenal and I was respectfully not prepared for that given the dimly lit tavern atmosphere. The beet and papaya salad were delicious and refreshing. The fish and chips were the BEST fish and chips I’ve tried. The Cod was well seasoned and crispy while the fries were crispy with a soft center. How they got it perfectly textured without it being greasy was beyond me. The thai chili hushpuppies were soft and airy with the tangy thai sauce complimenting it well. The lobster roll was decent but under salted.
The drinks were pretty good and well poured. Strong and tasty.
My only dislike is the terrible music of covers of old pop songs. Please change the music i beg!
Overall, Id love to come back again and was really impressed by the food and service. Great job Riley and Argonaut!

We had a great time at the Argonaut. The building is neat, the staff catered to our large party well, the food was delish! My personal faves were the Maiden Voyage which was a peach alcoholic beverage, Aloha Poke Bowl, the French fries (I’m a French fry girl) and the peach cobbler cheesecake. The Dubai chocolate mousse cake was also delicious. The ceviche was okay. I didn’t personally like the strawberry shortcake. I was too full to try anything else, but everyone loved their meals. A smash burger was eaten up rather quickly, my daughter enjoyed her shrimp tacos, my son ate up the seared tuna, everyone at the table enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, and the youngest of the bunch truly enjoyed those hush puppies. I watched a young thing devour a large fish sandwich and all side Cesar salads were eaten. The large Cesar salad wasn’t cut up and difficult to eat as was said by another party member. But all in I’d go back to try some more and enjoy some favs again!

Highly recommend the salads, hush puppies, and fish and chips, the latter of which were melt in your mouth perfect. Drinks are simple, but really tasty as well. Service was great, thanks Riley! Seafood roll left a little to be desired compared to other spots in Atlanta, but it was still good. Only complaint is that the music repeated songs and we were only there for an hour. It was also bad covers of good songs, just play the originals or play something instrumental if you want a house/techno chill vibe. Great place overall and will be coming back!

5 stars for The Argonaut!
We’ve worked our way through nearly everything on the menu, and it’s all delicious. For a seafood spot, the burger is unexpectedly incredible, I could eat it every day. The edamame hummus is a standout for the appetizers and the blackened fish sandwich is another favorite.
They have a solid kids’ menu, which we really appreciate as parents. Everything is fresh, and the house-made chips and popcorn shrimp are delicious. Dining out with a toddler can be stressful, but we never feel judged or out of place here. In fact, the staff goes out of their way to make us feel welcome. Riley is our favorite server, so attentive and genuinely sweet with our two-year-old daughter. They’ve even mentioned how fun it is to watch her grow up, which means a lot.
The Argonaut doesn’t just serve great food, they truly care about their community. The management actively communicates with regulars, asks for feedback, and adjusts hours and menu offerings based on what people want. It feels like a place that values its customers.
It’s also a perfect spot for adults, great for a girls’ night or date night. We went for Valentine’s Day and had a fantastic time. I’m picky about cocktails, but their bar program is excellent, and the wine list is strong too.
Highly recommend, whether you’re coming with kids or looking for a night out, The Argonaut is a gem

Came in on a random Wednesday after work and sat at the bar with my friend and had an amazing service experience with Colton. Colton truly took care of us and made our first time experience very special. Colton also keeps a very clean bar. The restaurant is very clean, the chef came out and greeted us and spent a few minutes with us at the bar which was a nice touch. Loved the open oyster counter/bar, the open kitchen. Tried multiple things: Hush puppies were nice and hot and fresh, my takeaway is that the sauce was a wee bit spicy. The tuna and yellowtail was delicious. The ceviche fell flat for me, the fish used probably was not the best, had a weird texture l, too much fruit was used but lacked salt, I think the execution should be revisited. The biggest disappointment was the lobster roll, it was minced lobster meat, no salt or aioli on the bread or anything. Lobster roll was dry and bland, and for the price point you would love to actually see pieces or chunks of lobster meat, definitely should revisit that dish and make it better for sure. All in all, we will return. Hats off to Colton, after some time the bar area got extremely busy and he handled it so well by himself and still maintained his professionalism and service standards but you could see a lack of teamwork, kitchen calling for hands and Colton needing some help and fellow teammates just standing around.

We went there as big group 8 with friends and family. Our waiter was so nice and kind. We ordered a lot and we really like the food. We had Pork belly bites, Seared Tuna, Butcher’s Steak, Thai chilli Hush puppies, Ceviche, Kirkwood Smash Burger, Grilled Salmon and Lobster. We love all the food! All the flavors like dancing in the mouth. But there were a few spots for parking behide the restaurant. We had good time.
