Taco Villa is a solid, budget-friendly spot when you want fast Mexican-style food that’s filling and consistent. The tacos were fresh, crunchy, and packed well, and the flavors were better than I expected for the price. The order came out quickly, and the staff were friendly and efficient even during a busy rush. It’s definitely more casual and simple than a sit-down restaurant, but it hits the spot for a quick lunch or late-night bite. Overall, a reliable place to grab tacos without spending much.

Amarillo by morning! I travel from Northern Colorado to DFW and having grown up in west Texas I need my Taco Villa fix!
I’ve stopped at this particular restaurant many times over the years. It’s always clean with good service and fresh food. This trip I’m here for breakfast. I was surprised to see biscuits and gravy on the menu, but it is Texas I guess. Is it world class biscuit and gravy? No. Is it better than most I can get in Northern Colorado,? Unfortunately, yes it is! Lol. I’ll continue to stop here as long as they’re open.

I frequent Taco villa quite a bit.
The thing I like the most other than their food is the way the employees
Interact with my great niece, she’s 3 and she will talk to them like there is no tomorrow and they talk back.
Some of them already know her name and greet her as such
She’ll order her food accordingly and they gracefully comply.
We fill with about 25$ normally about 6 of us go collectively.
Great food good prices and great atmosphere.
Always clean especially bathrooms.
Courteous,friendly,helpful.

The food took a while but the manager made up for it. The food as always is delicious! The restaurant was clean and cool. I would have given a 5 star rating but both the unsweet and sweet teas were spoiled. UPDATE: They had no chicken tonight but did give us steak for no extra charge. It was okay, the nachos were still really good . The cheese fries were good as well. Their fresh salsa bar is always great.

The food was terrible, the order was wrong, the nachos and taco shells were stale the meat had no flavor, was supposed to get a chalupa got a tostada instead, spent 42 dollars on the total order and was a complete waste of money. Do not recommend this location to anyone.

The Taco Villa on 3500 E. I-40 is the worst Taco Villa in Amarillo!!! The hard taco shells have been stale on 3 different occasions. And last night the beans were very salty. Just go to this one out of convenience, but will not ever be back again!!!!

Visited on 6/21/2025 – cashier’s name on receipt is Miriam.
I grew up in Amarillo and have always loved Taco Villa. Anytime I come to town, I have to make a stop or two while visiting.
The bean chalupa and bean burrito extra cheese are my favorites. Everyone in my family loves the taco burgers.
The salsa is so good! (Mad at myself for not remembering to bring some back to Chicago with me).
This location was super clean. Miriam deserves praise! – While we were eating an elderly lady dropped her yeti cup that she just filled, ice and dr pepper went everywhere. The lady was apologizing saying she felt horrible for her accident. Miriam immediately came from behind the counter, told the lady she was concerned with making sure she was ok and immediately cleaned up the mess. She smiled, showed sincere kindness and didn’t get annoyed with the simple accident.
