We came for Brunch… I’ll admit, the Instagram posts of their hot chocolate bar definitely piqued our interest and convinced us to give this place a try. While the setting is lovely, the service felt inconsistent at times, and the menu didn’t really stand out.

Greenhouse Eggs Benedict- prepared well and the asparagus was the perfect side.
Lox and Bagel- the salmon was delicious and not salty.
The hot chocolate bar was cute and fun; it’s really just a push cart with a friendly server adding toppings, which melted into the hot chocolate and was delicious!

Overall, the food quality was solid, but there wasn’t anything that stood out enough to make me want to return and try other menu items.

Our meal was delicious, service was top notch. It was an honor to eat here. The miso crusted Black Cod was fantastic, the scallop appetizer was also incredibly delicious. It was an explosion of flavors in your mouth.

I came here with my partner for our anniversary on a Friday night. It is fancy, and there were plenty of waiters and staff on hand catering to the guests. We ordered two entrees a la carte (~$50 each), but they also had a 4 course meal available for $100/person as well. Before the entrees came out we were served bread with butter/salt/oil as well as a fried cheese ball. The bread was warm and had just the right soft and chewy texture. I think they noticed how much I loved it as they served us a second helping before our entrees came out. The entrees were okay. We got the lamb and the coq au vin. The lamb was definitely better — perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium. The chicken was okay but I wasn’t a fan of the wine sauce. Each came with some veggies which were cooked well. The oyster mushrooms on the chicken dish were a highlight. On the way out one of the waiters gave me some extra bread and a chocolate boxed up. Excellent and attentive service!! We will come back again next year. 🙂

I recently visited Greenhouse in DC and had such a wonderful experience. The baked eggs with spinach, feta, and sourdough were absolutely my favorite—so flavorful and comforting. My boyfriend ordered the omelet and enjoyed it just as much.

What made the visit even better is that the restaurant is dog-friendly, and my pups were welcomed warmly. They behaved like proper little guests, and it was so nice to be able to enjoy a great meal without leaving them at home.

Overall, delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and a very pet-friendly spot—I can’t wait to come back!

Honestly this was probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, which is shocking considering this is a hotel restaurant.

My friend had just landed her dream job, so we came here to celebrate. The food was actually fine. We’re not picky at all. What ruined everything was the staff attitude.

After we paid and left the restaurant, we went to the restroom on the B floor. On our way back upstairs, we passed by a small book room that looked nice, so we stepped in for a quick look while waiting for our Uber. There were no signs saying “hotel guests only,” and that room is literally on the path from the restroom to the exit, so anyone who dines there would naturally walk past it.

Then things got really uncomfortable. A security staff followed us from the hallway all the way into the room, stared at us for about 10 seconds straight, and kept asking “Are you hotel guests?” three or four times even after we had already answered no the first time.

We immediately walked out because we didn’t want any trouble. I told her calmly that I understand and respect hotel policies, but her attitude felt very disrespectful. Her response was that she could just have us removed from the building…

I’ve honestly never been treated like this before. What was supposed to be a happy celebration turned into a really upsetting experience.

The restaurant was absolutely charming! I visited with my sister for brunch, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was picture-perfect, offering beautiful photo opportunities in every corner. The only downside was the parking, which wasn’t easy to find.

This would have been a two-star review except the restaurant made it right. I had a complaint about the quality of service and decided to leave before our food arrived. They comped our food and sent it to our room with an apology. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy so I believe this is worth a five-star review. Thank you to the Jefferson staff for making us feel welcomed and happy.

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were exceptionally well dressed, attentive, and made the entire experience feel elevated. I had the chicken poullard and my guest ordered the mushroom dumpling—both dishes were outstanding and full of flavor. The desserts were exquisite and the perfect ending to the meal. A charming place with excellent service and a beautifully curated environment; highly recommend. Was able to meet the manager Maggie and I will be back

Another memorable fine dining experience. I had an enjoyable brunch at the elegant Greenhouse Dc located at The Jefferson’s Hotel. I ordered the Three-Egg Omelet with the roasted breakfast potatoes as a side. It was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted so great including the green tea!!

The place was very fancy, hence, the expectations were so high. Regarding the live music, even if the pianist was trying so hard to help us enjoy the evening, due to the low sound of the music it was barely possible to hear it. There was so much noise in the restaurant so there was no meaning for the pianist to play.
The old fashioned that I ordered was almost the worst, no offence. It was bitter in taste. The restaurant probably has some reputation but I could not enjoy it in the proper way.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very positive people
