Aroma offers a lovely dining experience! The ambiance is perfect. I loved the moon lighting, it felt high end while still being fun. The food was also delicious. My friend and I split the meal and there was plenty for both of us. If you love Indian food or want to try something new I highly recommend it. The waiter was also very accommodating. He answered all of our questions and helped us make decisions when it came to meal options.

Here we go:

I’m a big fan of Indian food; and we are fortunate to have a lot in town, both Northern and Southern styles, with a good rotation of classics and some differing exotic dishes.

I visited on Christmas Day to a lovely atmosphere, Moon shaped lamps, easy music, and a very nice lady working who clearly takes pride in the hospitality.

The food:
The different colors of food, the aromas (roll credits), and the taste was incredible. For those who are not fans of spicy food, do not worry, the spice levels here aren’t made to hurt you just for the sake of it; but to be flavorful still.

Honestly 5 stars all around. Get the mango lassi to finish, it’s flawless.

(Pictured is the kale chaat and avocado chaat). I didn’t take photos of the entree because it was gone too fast.

This place is, without a doubt, the pinnacle of Indian cuisine in the Indianapolis area. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Every dish—from the first bite of the appetizers to the final spoonful of dessert—was crafted with remarkable attention to flavor, freshness, and presentation.
The appetizers were vibrant and flavorful, offering a perfect balance of spices that awakened the palate without overwhelming it. The main courses were equally impressive, showcasing a variety of regional specialties that felt both authentic and elevated. And the desserts? Absolutely divine—rich, aromatic, and the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the value. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the pricing is surprisingly reasonable, making it an ideal spot whether you’re out for a casual dinner or celebrating something special. I genuinely couldn’t find a single flaw in the experience. If you’re anywhere near Indy and craving Indian food, this is the place to go.

The food isn’t disappointing–pretty consistent with their downtown location. Paneer lababdaar was delicious although the ratio of paneer-to-gravy was less. Jack fruit croquettes weren’t too great and expensive for the quantity. It was quite today despite being a holiday weekend and the restaurant is just expensive. It is hard to justify the flat 18% gratuity even for two people.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Aroma. We were seated promptly and the service was amazing! Our food came out so quick and it smelled wonderful. We got the Aroma Tandoori Malai Broccoli, it was the best broccoli I’ve ever had. The interior was so clean and stylish and I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are stopping in Carmel for a bite to eat. I for sure will be back!

This was our first time coming to Aroma, and we were so happy with the experience!! The service was amazing, and the staff gave us great recommendations. The food was also amazing! We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Coconut Curried Salmon, both with the Rosemary Garlic Naan, and were blown away by how phenomenal it was!! We were recommended to go by our neighbors, and we absolutely recommend it to anyone near Carmel or their other locations!

We were a large group of all mixed backgrounds and ethnicities. At first we weren’t sure how this would turn out. However, this was some of the finest authentic Indian food I’ve had in Indianapolis. Truly original taste and very similar or nearly the same what I would get in India. We ordered the chicken platter for appetizer along with paneer tikka. Both were well cooked and seasoned.
For entrees we got multiple portions of the bitter chicken, madras fish, and kashmiri goat rogan josh. Every single entree tasted authentic and was unique from the other. Fish was delicious, butter chicken was creamy and mild, The goat rogan josh was tender, succulent and supreme and I would literally go back just for that.
Our server Suraj was very polite, professional and courteous – prompt and timely service indeed.
Would surely recommend this place to anyone looking for Indian food. I’ll be back for more.

This is an Indian fine dine restaurant that not only has a great ambience but also satisfies your taste buds. We were visiting Carmel and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant is very well decorated and has a modern look. The server was a little confused and seemed lost but got our order right.
They have a big menu and some unique appetisers. We ordered jackfruit galauti kebabs and kale chaat for appetisers. I highly recommend the kebabs, the kale chaat was ok. For the drinks, we wanted to order some Indian beers but they were out of most of the options. For the main course, we ordered paneer rara which was great. We also ordered veg jalfrezi which can easily be skipped. The chilli garlic naan was soft and full of flavour. Everything was a little expensive but the portion sizes are good.
Overall, I would recommend to visit this place if you are around.

I recently visited Aroma Experience – Indian Cuisine & Bar, and while I wanted to love it more, it ended up being a mixed experience. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff was friendly, but the menu felt a bit overwhelming. With so many options, it was hard to decide, and I wish it were more streamlined. I did find out they have a lunch menu, but only after asking for it separately, which felt like a missed opportunity to showcase it upfront.

That said, the food itself was good, with authentic flavors and generous portions. Overall, Aroma is a solid choice if you’re in the mood for Indian cuisine, but a little more clarity on the menu would elevate the experience.

The place had a beautiful ambience and the staff was friendly too. The tandoori chicken might very well have been the best I’ve had in the US so far. We also had some delicious Madras Fish Curry that made for a perfect dinner choice.
