The Wright Fork
This fun neighborhood spot is just right for any occasion— dinner with the family, drink with friends, feeling peckish, or want to play a game or two! The atmosphere is modern edgy with a sense of classic dive bar all in one. Lighting isn’t too dark in the evening, and the open outdoor patio is such a bonus.
The menu gives a nice variety of food and beverage options, and everything looks delicious! We enjoyed the double smash burger with tots (side jalapeño aioli and bbq sauces), along with the dry aged 1/2 smoked chicken with crispy Asian inspired brussel sprouts. Let me tell you, ever single bite was 10/10. The burger was cooked and dressed perfectly. Tots were crunchy and well seasoned. Chicken was 20/10 and the STAR of the meal! Definitely enough to share for two if you wanted. The bruseels were cooked nicely and had just enough “zing” to them to really pump up the flavor. We ended up also ordering the slaw to try, and I’m so glad we did! It’s got a light dressing and shaved Brussels as well— great add to the chicken meal. Drinks included a chenin blanc and the Pilsner- both were nice. The service was awesome— and shout out to our guy, Benjamin! He took great care of us and is such a friendly soul. Can’t wait to add this gem to our rotation!

Another barista recommended this place, so we had to check it out. The coffee was good, and I personally love when citrus is paired with coffee.
The balance between bitterness and sweetness was spot on. We’d for sure come back to try more from their menu. Also, whoever’s on aux deserves a raise because their music taste is immaculate lol.

We stopped here to try some of the Pax Verum beers that they have on tap. We also got food and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The Carmalized French Onion Dip with Fresh Chips was fantastic, and the Tator Tota had almost a curry seasoning on them, which was fabulous. We will definitely be back!

Really solid food and prices. Smash burger was really good! I’m not much of a fry person usually especially the thicker cut fries but they found a way to make them crispy and really good. Prices are pretty good too for the amount of food you get. Fun atmosphere, and the dog was able to have fun too at the connected dog park. Nice outdoor seating area. Overall I wouldn’t say it blew me away but definitely would enjoy coming back again.

I have loved Natural State since they joined our neighborhood, but have been disappointed recently by the portion sizes for the price. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich tonight and the chicken was about the size of my palm. The sandwich pictured was $13, no sides included. Even just a couple of months ago I got a chicken sandwich from Natural State and it was big enough to have leftovers. I totally understand that the economy is rough, we are all feeling it. I just wonder if something needs to change in the pricing or offerings (sides included?) so that the portions reflect the price better.

Natural State Provisions is a relatively new addition to Indy, and I hadn’t even known about it at first. I got to make a visit recently so here’s how it went.

We arrived at around 6 PM on a Sunday and they were not too busy, so there were tables available.
Just so you know, you have to order your food and stuff at the bar since the kitchen side I believe is closed.

We got pretzels as an appetizer and they were really good!
I got the Chicken Sandwich with waffle fries as my entree. And you’re probably curious to know, what were my thoughts?
Honestly, it was just ok. There appeared to be more breading than actual chicken meat and the breading was very crunchy and crumbled really easily. Wasn’t a big fan of that. The waffle fries though were really crispy and their house sauce was also awesome!

Overall, not a bad joint! If you’re in it for classic American food and a dog friendly setting, this might do it for you! I’ll maybe pay another visit here soon.

Fun brewery-style bar. Happy hour deal is great – $6 appetizers until 6pm. Lots of fried stuff, so the cheese curds, sweet potato fries, and fried cauliflower all kinda taste the same. Friendly staff and a huge patio.

Heard about this place bc we are avid dog lovers and they have a dog park. We visited for dinner on a Saturday night (in the midst of severe thunderstorm warnings) with the pup. Very nice, clean and well maintained dog park. Quiet spot that Saturday night with about 4-5 parties on the outside patio and 3-4 couples with dogs. We grabbed the pork nachos and cheese curds to snack on and tried a few of their beers on tap. Super quick service, food was ready within 15 min of ordering, and it was a pleasant experience! The food was delicious and beer was cold and good. Our pup caught some tennis balls in the park for a bit and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the Indy neighborhood. We were already talking about coming back with some other dog lover friends of ours!

It’s not often you go into a place, for the first time, then find yourself there 3 times that same week. From the esthetic, to the food, to the amazing staff, this restaurant had me in this state, the first week of 2024. If you haven’t been, please go. Order the sweet potato fries with whatever entree your heart desires. They are worth the extra $2. They also have trivia on Tuesdays, Bingo on Wednesdays, and a wing special, which I will be checking out soon. The ambiance alone is worth checking out. There is something to look at in all corners of the bar area. Bonus, its kid friendly!!

Cute simple decor, spacious patio, and dog park, full bar, wine, beer, solid food menu and pleasant staff. Service is walk-up to counter and find seating with a number for your order bar and food ordered at sperate areas. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. Breading on catfish was great but expect pretty thin filets (50/50 breading to fish). Corn bread and butter are quality. Smash burger was tasty but i should have gotten a double, the bun size is excessive for a single. I didn’t like the coleslaw as a side as it didn’t have a lot of flavor though it was a nice crunchy long cut slaw, I am admittedly particular about my slaw style. On the vinegary to sweet spectrum it’s slightly vinegary. Overall great new spot for our area
