We stopped in shortly after landing in Eugene for some food. We stood in the entrance waiting to be seated, nobody even looked our way. We walked around to the bar and stood there for a few minutes more, and it was like we were utterly invisible. The whole place smelled absolutely foul, and it was run down. Which I guess is expected from a dive-bar, but the lack of any sort of acknowledgement or greeting was ridiculous. We didn’t stick around long.

I have been frequenting the Embers for a long time, primarily for dancing in the occasional hamburger. I have recently had their steak dinner twice. Both times the steak and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The salad was all green with a good balsamic vinegar dressing. The waitress was very accommodating on this visit.

It is first and foremost a diner with diner food and menue. Through the years this place evolved to be an older crowd gathering of short. If this is your scene, you couldn’t pick a better place. the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant and the service is superb.

There were sparse customers having breakfast in the atmosphere of a restaurant and a bar, but I sat at the bar and drank beer. She was a kind bartender and it seems like a place where you can take a break in the morning.

Pretty awesome line ups with bands and karrynokey. Not sure when check thier lineup. Great potato chips they cook themselves! Lots of parking.

The bar has live bands on weekends. Has a dance floor. They have good drinks with reasonable prices. The cocktail waitresses and bartender are friendly. The Embers bar has been there for decades and has a loyal following of patrons. Everybody there was extremely friendly and welcoming. The parking lot is shot and needs to be replaced but there’s lots of space. The door into the bar is not handicapped accessible unless someone opens and holds the door for you which someone did every time-the people of Eugene are extremely helpful and friendly.

Place was good, bigger than it looks. It looks like they have a couple signature dishes, see pictures and get the emberized. Menu is big. Taps are Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light, Widmer hef, Sweet As, Boneyard RPM, Citrus Misstress, and a Cider. Looks like they do live music here but I don’t know what days. Cheers.
