Solid 4 star restaurant! I enjoyed a salmon tartine over the lunch hour. There was live music that I enjoyed, nobody will sign the artist to a recording contracts, but I’m for from an expert. I would definitely eat here again.

Went to La Mie for breakfast. I got the smoked salmon omelette with a side of fruit and my partner got the turkey club. The smoked salmon omelette was so good and when paired with the toast it was delicious. According to my partner, the turkey club was also great.

Very cute place with super yummy ham and swiss croissants but super hard to find if you’re like me and just visiting. I’m from out of town and am staying at the Des Moines Downtown Marriott so I followed Google and walked here but know it’s NOT ON GROUND LEVEL. Google takes you to the front door of an office building with a person sitting at the front desk, she was nice enough to direct me to the elevator to the Skywalk level and go in the double black doors the back way. Keep walking around to the front where the pastry case is and order there. I think I’ll try just walking over from the Skywalk next time, might be easier.

Come on guys,,,, this thing was 8 bucks. It’s supposed to be “matcha latte” regular size, which looks like a small. It has a hint of matcha barely any flavor apart from oatmilk. I wouldn’t mind paying this price if it was something decent. Unfortunately, I didn’t try it at the coffee shop cause it was still hot. Otherwise, I would ask for something decent. Basically, it’s an $8 steam cup of milk with a hint of matcha….disappointed

This place is modern, clean, and sleek. It opened up in March of 2017. A much-needed addition to the Des Moines skywalk which took up a space that was vacant since 2010. The food was pretty good but just be aware this place is a little pricey. Definitely worth checking out during lunch!
