Filthy disgusting if it’s this dirty in the front, I can imagine what’s going on back there. the woman who runs the place is nasty the whole time I was trying to place an order she was on the phone yelling at another person in her native language. Whatever. I am a local business owner. I would never disrespect the customer like that. Who do they think they are?

Being from New York (LI/Brooklyn), I’ve always had a soft spot for good old American-style Chinese takeout. Since moving, I’ve been chasing that familiar taste, and honestly, it’s hard to find outside of NY. I decided to give Bamboo Wok in Sebastian a try because it was close by and the reviews looked decent.
I was glad I did. The food was ready quickly, and everything I ordered was flavorful and satisfying. No, it’s not exactly like the takeout spots back home in Brooklyn—but it had all the right combinations and that comforting “feel” I’ve been missing. You can tell they know what they’re doing.
I’ve traveled all over the country, and nothing really compares to the NY standard, but Bamboo Wok comes closer than most. It’s not home, but it reminded me of it, and that counts for a lot. If you’re looking for something a step above fast food in Sebastian, this place will definitely hit the spot.

It’s not a Chinese wok restaurant if they can’t make Fried rice .
Mine was Semi cooked wet pasty rice – like a cat ate and threw it up, some raw tofu, no salt , no flavor, raw onions, boiled broccoli.
The lady on the phone was tired and angry.
Food is reflective of the state of the mind.
Good quantity.
Hopefully mine is a one off.
Praying others have a better experience.

Ordered take out for the 1st time from this particular Chinese restaurant(usually ordered from another local restaurant) So glad I stepped outside my normal! Food & service was excellent! Will definitely be back!

Gave it a try a few times, really wanted to like it but the food tasted “off”. It looked fresh but had a slight cleaning product flavor. The last time I went I returned the meal because the chicken tasted distinctly like it had bleach in it or had been prepared on a surface cleaned with bleach that had not dried. I called them to say I was returning the food and why so I didn’t have to say it in front of potential customers. The women had no interest in the issue and just threw it in the trash like I was a problem customer. What stuck out in my mind was the store had a strong clean product smell which is what the food tasted like.

We went to this place to try something different and being that they were still open at 9pm…was unsure what to get when we went inside and the woman who took our order made it even worse because she was rude and made us feel like we were a bigger… the menu is very large which we thought was a good thing. I ordered the bourjon chicken combo, ordered mongolian beef for my husband and my daughter chose the hot n spicy chicken combo…. my bourbon chicken was dry and seemed to be recooked several times, it was not edible.Spring rolls were mushy with no cabbage inside. This place was a huge disappointment. My husbands mongolian beef had whole onions and barely any beef my daughter seemed to be ok with her chicken but the fried rice had chopped i sautéed onions which were very strong. It was a waste of $50.

The dining and service area were very dirty, the front door, the garbage can, the tables- they all needed to be wiped because they were obviously greasy and filthy. I really regret eating here.
The service was unfriendly, and unhelpful. When I asked the ingredients of a certain dish, the server acted like she was angry that I asked and answered me in a real annoyed way. when I hesitated, she just told me to order something else and pointed to something on the menu and I said okay, because I was pretty embarrassed at this point with the way she was treating me. I ate a small portion of my food and threw the rest away because it didn’t taste good, and as I was looking around the dining area it was really throwing me off how dirty it was. I thought if the dining room was that dirty it must be pretty dirty back in the kitchen area. I wish I had just walked out and not ordered anything.

Lots of parking available but there is a tight entrance/exit area in front of this spot, so be please be careful. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of variety. They offer Singaporean Curry Noodles which were mild tasting because I requested no hot spices. They also offer chicken-veggies in a brown gravy, egg drop soup as well as chicken and rice soup. All of which we ordered. Took 15mins but did not order ahead. Food was served hot and fresh. Different flavors than the typical Chinese take-out spot. There is a sauce/utensil station to gather your specifically required stuff. Gluten free options were created for us and very much appreciated. Various canned soda offered. We used our left over/day old white rice to make g/f chicken fried rice and it was good.

I won’t waste my $9 and some change here again. I ordered a qt of PLAIN FRIED RICE and they evidently think that yellow rice with soy sauce added to it is the same thing.smh. NASTY
