Thai food is my favorite, and Red Onion did not disappoint. In fact, I think it’s up there in my top three favorite Thai food restaurants of all time!!
Service was so kind and personable, and food was served in wonderful portions.
It was the perfect spot for a dinner out with friends!
I got the Noodle Curry, and LOVED it!! (Photo attatched) Even with mild spice it was a tad bit spicy, but delicious. My friend got the Salmon curry, and I was BLOWN AWAY by the incredible flavor captured in just the small bite I had!
There ARE bathrooms.

We came for dinner on a Friday, no wait. Shared couple of appetizers, soup and three main dishes. Had plenty of leftovers! Everything was delicious, flavorful and fresh! Service was fast and friendly, prices are affordable!

It’s not often that a taste of food transports me. One spoon of the Mussaman curry and I felt like I was back in the Thai restaurant my family used to love and eat at all the time when I was a kid, then a teen. Fresh, flavorful, and veggies cooked great, not at all overcooked. My spouse enjoyed the Pad Thai as well. Portions were generous.
My family (of four with a baby and toddler) also appreciated the very friendly service. The staff were so mindful of kids. They immediately brought out paper table-ware and just had a truly welcoming vibe.
I would definitely go back.

I came here because this place was recommended to me by my family and my goodness it was an amazing experience. The staff were so kind and the food came out fast. Everything tasted very clean and fresh! I would definitely recommend getting the mango prawns. It had such a nice sweet and salty flavor that was so addicting to eat. I will definitely be coming back here again soon!

My tried and true favorite Thai spot on the west side. The food is reliably flavorful, portions are good, and they are quick and accurate. I have not had a single dish that I haven’t enjoyed, but their noodles are a (more often than I would like to admit) repeat order. Their fresh rolls are always spot on, too.

Came here on the recommendation of a nurse at the hospital across the street. I ordered Panang Curry with chicken. It was served in a bowl with rice on the side. First, beautiful presentation. Second, absolutely delicious. They put a good amount of chicken in it which was nice as one doesn’t usually get a lot of meat in Thai food. I ate more of it than I should have, it was that good. The ambiance of the restaurant is very classy and well done. Service was spot on. I wish I was in Portland more often so I could come often. Will highly recommend to Thai food lovers. Pricing was very affordable. I thought it would be more when I walked in. Great job to the chefs , owners and staff!

Delicious! Very flavorful dishes. It took me a minute to decide as there were many thai restaurants in the area. I made the right choice. Good size serving for the price they charge. All dishes were packed carefully to avoid leakage- i love this! They were all so good! I can’t pick a favorite. I recommend this place and I definitely look forward to trying other dishes when I’m in the area.

Great Thai place, AC and atmosphere are top notch with excellent service. Great lunch specials also. Large portions and the Thai tea is excellent, plus they have the good nugget ice. Got two large entrees and two Thai teas for $35 from the lunch menu. Service was good and speedy. Prawn curry was excellent and jumbo shrimps were well cooked as the tails easily pulled off.
