i had a 5$ off coupon for my birthday and a 5$ toast app cash to use – so i got a large 2 topping pizza , cheese curd and mozzarella stick for 21.70$ not bad ..but the cheese curds were burnt and the sticks were as well. the pizza was ok for the most part but could use more flavor .. mind you i swore i wouldn’t order here again ( i have placed orders in past 2020, 2023 and 2024 praying they would be better)

becuz i want to love this place … being on the far west end of west rockford we don’t have much over here !! but they just don’t do it for me. a simple cheese curd and moz stick shouldn’t be burnt (cheese totally fallen out of the mix sticks )
and have the nerve to serve it still.

There food is good…. However I’m so sick of getting almost NO sausage on a dang pizza! I paid for extra sausage and got the same amount as regular sausage… I got triple the amount of mushrooms. Yall should be ashamed of how you charge for sausage and barely put any on. What does someone have to do to get sausage on every slice?! I’d love for you guys to turn this 1 star to a 5 star

I have been pleasantly surprised with Cimino’s food! We have had the chicken bruschetta pizza twice (pictured below) which is a new specialty pizza according to their menu. It is delicious! I would also recommend the chicken parmesan sandwich and bosco sticks. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of their pizza sauce as it gives me a stomach ache sometimes, so I try to avoid their “regular” pizza which has prompted me to try other options there. And we’ve been happy with the food we’ve had so far.

If you’re craving homemade Italian food with a cozy, family-owned vibe, Cimino’s Ristorante & Pizza is a must-visit in Rockford. From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting, checkered tablecloths, and the aroma of garlic and simmering sauces make you feel like you’ve stepped into a traditional Italian trattoria.

Atmosphere & Service
The restaurant has a rustic, inviting charm, with vintage photos and Italian decor adding to the authenticity. Whether you’re here for a casual dinner or a special occasion, the ambiance strikes the right balance between relaxed and intimate. The staff is welcoming and attentive—our server was knowledgeable about the menu and even offered wine pairings with our dishes.

Food & Drinks
Cimino’s shines with its made-from-scratch dishes. We started with the garlic bread (crispy outside, soft inside, loaded with butter and herbs) and the bruschetta, which had the perfect balance of fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic.

For the main course:

The Chicken Parmesan was a standout—tender, breaded chicken topped with melted mozzarella and a rich, tangy marinara sauce. The pasta on the side was cooked perfectly al dente.

The Margherita Pizza had a thin, crispy crust, fresh basil, and just the right amount of gooey mozzarella.

For dessert, the cannoli was fantastic—crunchy shell, creamy ricotta filling, and a dusting of powdered sugar.

The wine list features Italian imports and local favorites, with decent prices by the glass or bottle.

The workers are always super nice. It always looks super clean. We order there at least once a week. Food sometimes is really great and sometimes it’s not. If their busy, I feel like they don’t cook the pizza all the way vs. they aren’t so busy. Either way, foods typically pretty good. They also actually know how to keep the mozzarella sticks from getting soggy, so that’s a win

The food was very good and the server was very good. Overall, it was a great place to grab some really good pizza. It is mainly a take out pizza place but we did dine in and found it to be nice.

I don’t usually do these things but tonight was our last straw. Ciminos has good pizza, but so inconsistent. Our pizza arrived, cold. Live maybe 7 min away. I can understand warm for sure. We gotten through about four pieces and pulled a corner to realize there was melted cheese under the piece. The kind of melted cheese that when you pull a piece off a fresh pie the drip page runs right…. So someone took a piece off our fresh pizza. Replaced it and we got it cold. The down side. We’ve received pizza cold on some occasions and late on a few. We’ve had a pizza that looks like it sat sideways for the ride. Kept going because they’re close and when they’re on they’re in. Tonight and the last time, we are done. Probably doesn’t matter but so disappointed.

Great Cheese
Simple pepperoni was plain nasty. Crust was flavorless, sauce had way too much sugar in it and the cheese was rubbery and was burnt on the bottom. When you bring this to their attention the workers question if you know what good pizza looks like.

Next time I will save my money and get a 5 dollar Jacks pizza from Sullivan’s that is made with more quality.

Place smelled of sewage and fish when I picked up my pizza.

It’s a hit or miss! One week food is great next it’s inedible! This week it’s inedible! spend time & money on something I threw in the garbage!! Called to make sure my pizza was well done! To think if I didn’t do that I probably would have gotten a hall of raw pizza dough. Winnebago needs a good restaurant this is not it!
