Food is great for the price. Had 2 beef tacos, they were enough to fill me up! Washed them down with a Chabela (bloody mary mix +beer).

Service was excellent, food came out quick, and there are several salsa to try!

Thank you Las Carretas ❤️

Such a great experience at Las Carretas. I was visiting PS/Cathedral City and I happened by and stopped. I chose the Sunday special which was a Carnitas Torta that was amazing. Truly terrific Carnitas. Deanna was a great host and friendly. I had hoped to order catering from here for a meeting lunch but it did not work out this time. Suffice it to say that when I am back in the area I will make it work and I highly recommend this location. Cheers!!!

We ordered tacos. They were superb. The lady who helped us at the counter was named Fatima. She did a great job in recommending tacos to us. The service was great, the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was cool. Very Mexican interior.

It has been seven years since I moved away from Palm Springs and I HAD to make a stop for the #8 taco combo plate….and an additional potato taco, while on vacation! Luv this place!

I ordered thru PostMates and our driver picked up the order and never brought it. A hr and a half later, the store manager, Deana phoned me to see if I’d received my food. She helped me cancel the order thru Uber, had her cook remake our order and delivered it personally! We order from this yummy restaurant at least once a week, and I can’t express enough gratitude for this above and beyond service! Bueno!!

Enjoyed a quick taquitos rice and beans lunch. Super friendly counter service. Food was tasty and fresh. They didn’t skimp on the sour cream and cheese, which was nice. They have some outdoor tables too.

Visiting Palm Springs and my husband drove to get us dinner. Comes back 40 minutes later to give me the worst food ever. Beans are out of a can. Nachos have dark weird queso looks pasty and no sour cream or toppings. Crap. 40 bucks down the drain

A step up for street tacos with great tasting arros con frijoles. Platters of the day are a decent value and everything was good. Tell them Juan sent you.

Let me first say that I’m a total street taco addict. It’s my one TRUE vice. That being said, my wife and I have had a difficult time finding authentic street tacos here in the Palm Springs area, which has been totally disappointing considering the taco game in San Diego is so off the chain.

Anyways, back to Carreta’s…. I stopped in for lunch after driving past this place probably a dozen times. I typically opt for a couple of carnitas tacos at any joint that I visit for the first time. The first thing. noticed was that you get a TON of meat on these tacos. Simple garnishments of onion and cilantro are used to finish these off, but I’d say the amount of meat you get on these takes them out of the street taco category, and I’m not mad about it. Two corn tortillas for each taco and they are filing for sure. A little salsa verde and lunch was a win.

The crisp on the carnitas was better than any place we’ve tried in the lat 9 months of being here. The meat was… for the lack of a better word – bland. This seems to be common in this area. The pork tastes like it came out of a slow cooker with vey minimal seasoning/spices. That’s my only complaint though. The service was on point, the place was clean – VERY clean – and the people working there were super friendly (also something that seems to be rare in the PS area).

It’s safe to say that when we pull out of town this week and onto our next adventure, that Carreta’s will hold the spot of our favorite taco spot in the Palm Springs area. I’m still shocked that it doesn’t seem like anyone is doing true, authentic street tacos in this area. SMH!
