Small town feel with big city taste. Was traveling through and stopped in for a late lunch one day and was recommended by some of the locals to try Panhandlers. It’s a cozy, but warm place with cute decorations. I especially love the chalkboard layout for the menu (someone has some really nice penmanship…chalkmanship?)! Host and cook were super friendly and very helpful with the menu which had a nice selection of choices and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend the Popper Burger! It’s great to see little places like this in the world still and even better to be able to stop and enjoy them! Worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Greatest Philly I have ever eaten! And I am travelling a lot around USA.
Stacey and Ryan are super kind and friendly and the interior looks really patriotic 🙂
Additionally: restroom was clean and shiny – they take care about this place really nice 🙂
You must eat here while being around
Look at this Philly!!!

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Southwest Nebraska. The Philly Cheesesteak is the best! Awesome service every time! The owner is always friendly and checks on his guests personally whenever he gets the chance.

Loved it! Burgers are amazing!
How does a 1/2lb burger sound? How bout making it a double! (A full pound of meat!)
The owner is a veteran (Army) and all veterans are welcome and given a discount for your service. (Hooah!!)
Loved it!

The burger was delicious and it was the best cooked bacon I’ve had in a while! Will definitely be stopping in again!

We had so much fun at this unplanned stop today! Great food (generous portions) along with friendly & attentive service. Loved the atmosphere and entertaining stories from the owner. What a great hidden Nebraska gem, totally worth a drive. We will plan to stop from now on!

Great food. But the owner and all of the staff makes you feel like family. I was just there on a business trip and stopped to eat. We talked about the military and law enforcement. They absolutely support all of us. God bless them all and when I’m back in Oshkosh Nebraska, I will be having my lunch or dinner there. Thank you for the hospitality. The entire town of Oshkosh were wonderful. Amazing people that love our Country.

Showed up today to eat lunch. The waitress was not friendly at all and very rudely said they had a limited menu or just burgers and chicken strips, which would have been fine had she not acted like we were inconveniencing her. It was a clean building, from what I could see, but very quiet and unwelcoming feeling. We ended up paying for our water and leaving.

I cannot say enough about how great this restaurant is. I was on a motorcycle ride through rural Nebraska with my wife and our friends, saw some great reviews online about the Patriot Grill and so we headed to Oshkosh to check it out for lunch. Well, when we got there around 1:30pm on a Saturday, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant’s lunch hours ended and 1 pm and the place was closed until 5pm for dinner. As we hopped back on our bikes, one of the employees leaving the restaurant came over and talked to us…then she went back inside and told the owner…who reopened the restaurant just for us!!! The restaurant was absolutley spotless, the burgers were outstanding and his friendly welcoming service made the day! The owner is a veteran and proud to decorate his great restaurant with appropriate items celebrating freedom, military service and patriotism. The reviewer who made negative mention of the American flags on the walls should be ashamed. Ever wonder why it is named The Patriot Grill?
My thanks to the owner and staff of this excellent restaurant. We will go out of our way to come back!
