Let me start by saying the pictures do not do these dishes justice. Everything that came to the table looked incredible, but the flavors exceeded even the presentation. The NY Strip was absolute perfection!!! 10/10 Cooked exactly as requested, with a flawless sear on the outside and tender, juicy perfection on the inside. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and expertly prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in precision.
And the French 75 with Hennessy? So good. Smooth, balanced, and dangerously delicious. It was a refined twist on a classic cocktail and paired beautifully with the meal. Definitely a must order.
What truly elevated the evening, though, was Shane. He did not miss a beat. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and effortlessly professional. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made the entire experience feel seamless. Top tier waiterrrr!!!
Il Premio is the kind of place that reminds you why fine dining is worth it. Exceptional food, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer. I’ll absolutely be back.
Our waiter, Milan, was so fun, personable and attentive without ever being overbearing. He made our Valentine’s Day dinner memorable and effortless, adding warmth and personality to an already incredible evening.
The food? Perfection. We keep coming back for the NY strip, Brussels sprouts, the Campanelle Gratinata, and those espresso martinis never miss.
This is exactly why Il Premio has long-standing fans in me and my boyfriend. Between the exceptional service, outstanding food, and the dark moody aesthetic, this place continues to set the bar. We’ll absolutely be back again and again.
The food itself was outstanding, but the tiramisu was the highlight of the night. It was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Between the care, professionalism, and exceptional food, Il Premio delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend, especially if you have dietary restrictions and want to feel truly taken care of.
Once seated, the staff as a whole impressed us with their impeccable service, but I want to especially highlight Milan. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, patiently answering every question and sharing thoughtful, detailed recommendations. His passion for the food was contagious—he described each dish so beautifully that I almost mistook him for our server! Thanks to him, we tried the bolognese, which was the ultimate comfort dish and one we’ll be ordering again and again. His care and enthusiasm truly elevated the experience.
Shane, our server, was also an outstanding professional, attentive, and kind. Between him, Milan, Alex, and the additional touches from Andre and Brianna, it felt like the entire team was working together to make our evening special. The dishes we ordered, the branzino, Spigola e Caviale, Rigatoni all’Astice, and of course the bolognese were all exceptional.
The food, ambiance, and above all, the service exceeded every expectation. This was the first of many visits to come, and I’m so glad we gave Il Premio a try.
This restaurant is tucked away at The Forth Hotel in the Old Fourth Ward. You can park in the hourly lot right in front or do valet at the entrance for $25 (4-8 hours).
I came here on a Thursday evening with 2 friends around 7pm and had no wait at all. They have a lovely bar outside of the dining room with amazing mixologists who can skillfully make you whatever you like. They even serve Uncle Nearest and make a lovely old fashioned with it.
The service was IMPECCABLE. They started by giving us complimentary mini parmesan cracker sandwiches and bread.
I had the mero grouper with broccoli. It was fantastic. I enjoyed every bite. Our amazing waitress recommended we have the lemon ricotta bomboloni and it did not disappoint. It was so perfectly sweet, delicious and light after a filling meal.
The ambience was dark and moody in the best way. A five star experience all across the board. Our waitress even made impromptu reservations for us to head up to the Moonlight rooftop bar onsite afterwards.
If you have the Platinum AmEx card and use it to pay for your bill, you can dine here and receive your quarterly $100 Resy credit on your next statement (despite whether you’ve made a reservation or not).
Our waiter was attentive and the food came out at the right times.
Had the fresh Oysters and they were excellent and up there with the best in town.
My steak was cooked to temperature and didn’t need any sauce. I ordered the dry aged ribeye.
The staff made us feel welcomed and celebrated, and the food… absolutely exquisite. The lighting, the interior, the overall atmosphere — everything came together so beautifully. It felt like the restaurant itself was part of our celebration.
Thank you for making our special day feel magical. We’ll definitely be back!
