I love chinese restaurants because the taste for most of the dishes is almost the same. I only pick certain menu options to stay consistent. So, I ordered a broccoli beef hoping for another good experience. Arriving in a large group I expected a longer wait time. We waited for more than hour for all of us to get our food. They kept bringing food in batches and by the time the last person got their food the first people were done with theirs. Not cool. My broccoli beef was just really bad. The beef and broccoli tasted like a burnt oil. Meat was rubbery. I heard good reviews about this place but my experience was much different unfortunately. I will probably give it another shot in the future.

When I saw the name of this restaurant, I thought it was an American restaurant. Not sure what the name stands for. The restaurant is fairly large with multiple dining areas. It’s bright and well laid out. It was not busy when we arrived but a party arrived later which made our space a bit tight. We ordered nine dishes including soup. The tofu soup and the ginger chicken came out first and they were quite good. And then things started going downhill. The remainder of the dishes were only so so, only okay. Some were a bit salty and the curry beef was not that good. I would order something else than this. Overall, dinner is fair. Looking at the kitchen, however, the dim sum actually look quite good. I think we will come back for dim sum next time.

Dimsum is not bad but nothing spectacular. Tastes like home cooking from Taishanese folks.

The steamed fish needs to be cleaned better and also lighter on the soy after…

Beef rice roll was nice and well stuffed

The Chinese broccoli … needs a bit of oil and garlic when boiling …otherwise it is mushy yuck

The tofu skin rolls were yummy

Radish cake pan fried well.

Comforting for sure so it is a nice find in Westmont.

Clean, inviting atmosphere, reasonable price with friendly service(our waitress is way more attentive than the waiter, our waiter actually forgot one of our orders. but there’s always room for improvements for anyone).
Our favorite dimsum items were serve pipping hot and cooked on-point. Shrimp dumplings and chive dumplings featuring freshly crisp shrimp, both were delicious and juicy. The portion of chive and shrimp dumplings are balance well with great chive aroma. Mild crisp beef tripes’ cooked on point. Mild but flavorful steamed bean curd with meat and vegetables was great. Sweet, savory and tender BBQ pork (DS portion)was good. Flavorful soy sauce with vegetables chow-mein (DS portion)was good and it wasn’t as greasy as others that we had. New dish to us: starchy crisp Chinese yam with chives stirred fried was mild enough, the chive didn’t overpower the dish. Mild flavors West lake beef soup with tofu and cilantro hits the spot. Fresh watermelon juice was sweet. Pineapple and coconut wish pearl Bubba and Mango smoothies were okay. The pearl Bubba didn’t cooked through, it was hard texture in the middle with interesting taste. Besides the smoothies. we enjoyed each dishes that we ordered. Condiments available upon request . Can’t wait to return .

We stumbled upon this gem on a whim, and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really set the tone for the visit. The complimentary tea was such a thoughtful touch and added to the authentic feel of the place. As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing — everything was fresh, crisp, and bursting with flavor. The dishes were perfectly light and not at all heavy or over-battered. We live about 30 minutes away, and we will definitely be back soon!

I wish there were a place like this in Texas where we live. I guess Texas doesn’t have everything like they say in Texas…motto says [ EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS ] !!
But find this not to be True. Lol

This place ticks off all the right boxes for what the D in D cuisine can stand for:

• Delicious
• Dim Sum
• Duck
• Dumplings
• Delightful

Visited on a Sunday evening without reservation for a party of 8. We were seated without any issues. We had 2 children in our group and appreciated they brought out plastic cups with a cover and a straw for them as well as disposable plate and plastic utensils.

It was easy to order off the menu as we marked off the dim sum items we wanted and just told our server what we wanted for main menu items. Everything came out at a good pace.

We had the half Peking duck and absolutely loved the stir fried duck… it was so tender and flavorful. We also ordered A LOT of dim sum! It was nice that none of the dishes we had were too salty…we loved the shu mai and the sesame balls! Perfectly chewy and not over fried or overly greasy. Will definitely be back her again, great place for groups!

Portions are good-to-generous. Pricing is good.

Atmosphere is good and it seems they either rebranded recently or had renovations done
