I ordered the lunch meal and when I arrived, my food wasn’t ready for another 15 minutes. That alone was frustrating, but the experience went downhill from there.

The woman at the front counter was extremely rude from the start. She would only give me two sauce packets and told me I would be charged if I asked for two more, which felt unreasonable.

When I took the food to my car, I noticed the fried rice had no color at all, despite requesting extra soy sauce, and it didn’t look fully cooked. I went back inside and politely asked if it could be redone. She immediately dismissed me and said “this is how it’s cooked” and that there was no issue.

I asked a second time if it could be remade with more soy sauce. She yelled at the cook about me, threw a fit, and made the situation very uncomfortable. When she brought the food back, she said “better?” in a very angry tone. While it looked slightly improved, the food was dry and the meat tasted off.

I stopped coming here originally because the prices are high, the food quality has declined, and the customer service has become unbearable after several visits. This experience confirmed that decision. I’ve since found another restaurant by Jewel Osco called Panda Chinese Restaurant that is far better and much more welcoming.

I won’t be returning, and unfortunately the negative reviews others have posted are accurate.

Tangs had great ratings, maybe an off night? Chicken seemed a bit under cooked so everything got microwaved. Rice was good, counter guy was nice. Looks like they have sit in space thst is closed off.

Was kind of bummed because my beef fried rice didn’t have any veggies in it like advertised. Ordered takeout and everything else was alright. Prices ok and portions pretty good.

This was my first time trying tangs , I got chicken teriyaki soup. I know that’s not on the menu but that’s what I got tough tasteless chicken in juice, egg rolls had no flavor. This will be the last time I get anything from Tangs .

Terrible experience – avoid this place!
I placed an order through UberEats with a promotion for a total of $25. The food arrived incomplete — they replaced my WonTon with two plain rice containers, and the quality was poor at best.

To make matters worse, the restaurant increased the price after delivery to $35, without my consent. I’ve been stuck in an endless loop between Uber and the restaurant. The restaurant claims they reversed the charge, but that’s simply not true.

Dishonest practices, poor food, and zero accountability. Beware — this place will rip you off!

The food here is good, but a little bland compared to other similar places I’ve eaten. The staff are friendly and the food is prepared quickly. This used to be a dine-in restaurant but I’m assuming they went to carry-out only during the pandemic and never reopened the dining room. What you have is a 5′ x 10′ room with a counter to ceiling plexiglass panel to other through.

Overall, if say it’s a good, regular place to visit and get your food to go.

Food 4 stars – standard Chinese food you can expect in the US. But better than average.
Environnement – they are not open for dining in and only have a small space open so order ahead, grab and go!!!
Check your food when leaving. They forgot something in our order last time.

I think the place has gone downhill in the last year. At least 3 times that I have ordered food for pick-up, it has taken longer than they said. This last time they said it would be ready in 30 minutes; it actually took 75 minutes. This meant I had to wait outside for 45 minutes. And, this was on a Monday evening.
They also didn’t give me any sauces.
One of the dishes was watery too.

The chicken in the fried rice tasted like cardboard, the rice was bland, no color, a couple of vegetables. The 2 dollar a piece eggroll tasted like wasabi. The sweet and sour chicken was soggy and too oily. The chicken in the egg foo young also tasted like hard cardboard. The only thing okay with the order was the gravy in the egg foo young.

My first time visiting tangs I’ve heard people say they were the “BEST” so I gave it a try and here is what I think. The lunch special online said 7.99 and when I placed the order it went to to 9.99 a special.the rice was extremely dry. For it to be fried rice it has no color or seasoning the chicken is huge pieces and very fatty ,They give 2 sause packets per meal and that would not be a issue if the rice wasnt so dry . I personally won’t be back. Im going to add pics if I can.
