Good deli. I recommend ordering over the phone since the online ordering was challenging for multiple orders. I do recommend using the online ordering to see the menu however because again the website is very limited to navigate. Food was good but the website being difficult was not convenient.

I’ll flat out mention. I am not a big sandwich guy. When I do crave a sandwich I prefer an authentic deli, such as this one. I also like to choose something from the menu that I may never usually order just to try it out. A little risky but life‘s too short to pick the same things all the time. In this case I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich that was on the special of the day. It was good not great. The reason I left a four star instead of a five star. Maybe it’s just that it’s not my thing. Or that I wasn’t very impressed with the rye bread. Nonetheless the overall experience at Stecks never disappoints. The staff are always friendly, helpful and care about serving quality food and providing a quality experience. And for that, I always return and recommend this location.

I came in at 4:25 and they were closing at 4:30. They were kind enough to make me a sandwich and it did not disappoint. I ordered a grilled chicken with mozarella with peppers and balsamic panning. The sandwich was amazing and the pickle that was included was even better. So glad I discovered this spot. One of the best sandwiches I have came across in NJ. Skip the franchise sandwiches and go to Steck’s. I will definitely be back soon. The German chocolate cake was a nice topper.

Best roast beef in NJ. Rare , moist and tender.
Potato salad also a favorite.
Stop every time in the area

Great atmosphere Great service but what a weak Ruben. Weak on meat and cheese. Sandwich was pressed down to an inch thick like a panini. I’m use to a Ruben with 3 to 4 inches of meat and cheese with sauerkraut and Russian dressing grilled in butter on beautifully rye bread. The Sandwich weigh maybe 6 Oz if that. SMH never again. Sorry I tell it like it is. Maybe they got my order mixed up. IDK

Used to be a solid go to place for a well-packed Boarshead sandwich, but now its just thin, overpriced, and disappointing.
These are the result of two $8 sandwiches… literally 2 slices per side. Don’t bother to be open if this is the garbage you are gonna sell.

Steck’s is an authentic local deli. This time I went with a roast beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, spicy mustard, salt, and pepper. For desert a piece of carrot cake. All delicious! FYI – All take out, there are no tables.

I love Steck’s and make it a point to go when I get a chance but today my girlfriend found bugs mixed into the lettuce of her sandwich. I don’t think we’ll ever be going back.
