Scouted this coffee shop on a bike ride. IMHO, up there with Black Walnut as best coffee store (in general) in Minneapolis. -In this day and age, prices were on the low end by a little, which is refreshing.

Wonderful bakery with a nice variety of treats and breads to take home and share. You can also get breakfast or lunch items from their menu to eat in the restaurant or to go. Friendly staff greet you immediately, ambience is light and relaxing. My new favorite go-to place for a chai and treat morning in Northeast Minneapolis.

To have a bakery in the Northeast neighborhood is pretty great! Usually on weekend mornings it can be packed, so my suggestion would be taking the pastry to go. The manager was very courteous and would personally participate in bringing food to guests, and was proactive in checking in about the food as well.

Overall I thought the savory dishes were as good as I would expect from a bakery. It was not exuberant but was sufficient in making me enjoy a good experience. As for the viennoiseries, they were very good! Whether one orders a chocolate croissant, a sticky bun-caramel nut, a cinnamon chocolate croissant twist, or a Marguerite danish, they were all hits. I enjoyed their pastry everytime I visited. I wouldn’t call them outstanding, but they were satisfying for the local population and definitely worth revisiting!

Amazing little cafe bistro with an amazing selection of pastries and excellent espresso drinks! Outdoor patio available also! The Friand Au Bœuf was amazing (got mine sans cheese) Highly recommended!

This coffee shop is gorgeous!

The huge open case of pastries pulls you in as you walk in the door. All of their items are made in-house at their St. Paul location. We wanted one of everything.

I didn’t get nearly enough photos to do this place justice, so you’ll have to trust me when I say this place is definitely a stop you should put on your list.

This is a great cafe! Unfortunately if you go at 5.20pm (they close at 6pm) they dont want to give you a plate because its in the diswasher!
Coffee was great and also the bakery items that we tried.
Ps: they ended up giving me a plate after asking it again.

almond croissant (heated to perfection) with an excellent cappuccino in a big mug. loved the art selections on the main wall. it was a busy Sunday morning, but it still felt cozy in my wingback chair.

We where at Minneapolis for a small vacation for a wedding and needed a place that served good coffee. We took a chance on this Cafe and we were not disappointed. The coffee was Great and the food as well. We just wished they had more options without pork as we don’t eat pork. Nonetheless, the food and pastries were delicious. I would recommend this Cafe.

We got here around 1:45pm…they were out of a lot of pastries.
I got the butter croissant and it was ok.
My friend got the bacon egg and cheese and she said it was pretty good.
She also got a caramel latte and she said it was delicious!

We stop here for coffee and pastries when we stroll about the neighborhood. It’s a delicious treat big enough to share if you can find someone who would settle for half and the coffee is great too. There is a cozy eating space but most people take them to go.
