First time here and won’t be the last!

I got the Harvest Hash, which is a seasonal special, and ohhhh my goodness. Every bite was a different burst of flavors. I added their homemade sausage which was cooked and seasoned beautifully.

The “Benedict in a hole” was super delicious and the bread is unreal. We thought the bacon in the middle was way undercooked and the whole dish would be better off with crispier or more well-cooked bacon. That said, their actual bacon is good.

Really cool vibe in an awesome location, great overall value.

I recently stopped by The Wild Hare in Hudson after hearing some buzz, and overall, the experience was… mixed. The food was good — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I had no complaints there. The coffee was solid, too.

The wait to order was decent. Not the fastest, but nothing outrageous either. The atmosphere was cute and cozy, and it seemed like a nice spot to relax or catch up with a friend.

But what really threw me off — and honestly left me feeling a bit frustrated — was the tipping setup. You place your order at the counter, grab your own coffee, and pick up your food when your name is called. Yet you’re prompted to leave a tip upfront, before you’ve received anything, and without any actual table service. I’m all for tipping when service is being provided, but in this case, it felt awkward and a little unfair.

It’s not a dealbreaker, but it did put a damper on the experience. I just think if you’re going to ask for tips, there should be some level of service attached. Otherwise, it starts to feel less like gratitude and more like obligation.

Although it got its start as a breakfast/lunch cafe this place is a hidden gem for a top quality dinner experience in a non-pretentious friendly atmosphere.

The menu isn’t large, but is carefully curated offering a variety that should interest most. The ingredients were fresh and layered for rich flavor. The portion size is just right in that you can actually finish your meal and be satisfied with room to share a dessert (or appetiser) if you wish. Best part is despite the level of quality which exceeds many Boston restaurants the prices are quite reasonable.

Don’t sleep on this, it is going to get discovered and will be difficult to get a reservation before too long.

Our go to spot for dinner! Have been here 3 times and has been excellent every time. You can taste the care and effort that goes into dishes made on the handcrafted menu that changes seasonally. Every dish was delicious and balanced! Scratch kitchen, so everything is made fresh.

The only downside is they only serve beer, no wine or spirits available. With a full bar this place would be perfect!

I absolutely loved this cafe! The delicious breakfast options, including the mouthwatering avocado toast and savory mushroom toast, were a perfect start to my day. Their authentic coffee was a true gem, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The cozy environment and outdoor seating added to the charm, making it an ideal spot to relax and savor my meal. Five stars without a doubt! I’ll definitely be returning soon.

We tried Wild Hare for breakfast today and were happy we did! The Wild Hare Breakfast Sammie was delicious and they happily accommodated my no meat request and substituted for a 2nd egg. The corn bread sounded amazing, which the cashier confirmed, and it was! Lastly, the coffee was fantastic, though I wish the latte had been a little larger. We liked the ambiance but it was a little chilly for us. Overall, super yummy and we’ll be back!

One of the best meals we’ve had this year. The dishes were so tasty and creative, and more than plenty to share for two people. We got to try part of their Oktoberfest special menu! Beers were excellent. The servers were knowledgeable and super nice, we had lovely Saturday evening dinner! Plenty parking, there are outdoor tables. Cool mill building and you can see the beer barrels in the back.

Worth the visit! We had been wanting to go for breakfast for a while so went this weekend for breakfast. First off the atmosphere is great. Old mill with wide open space and outdoor seating. Beautiful out back 5 outta 5! We chose to sit outside. We ordered at the counter (no big menu board just paper menus, a little awkward cutting people to grab a menu and a half dozen people standing in line with menus). When our food came up our side of sausage was forgotten, but was quickly rectified. I ordered benedict with frizel greens. The frizel was dressed and on top of the benedict. The vinegar on the greens was delicious but not on top with the bearnaise. Also my egg was really runny. My daughter got mushroom toast with side of sausage, both were very good. She also had an iced coffee. We would go back.

My experience at The Wild Hare in Hudson, MA, began with high expectations. I’m in the Boston area for business, and I adhere to the mantra of “work hard, play hard.” This place came highly recommended after a productive day, so the bar was set high – perhaps too high after my visits to Boston’s downtown fine restaurants and bars earlier in the week.
I was invited for dinner, and what a surprisingly delightful dinner it was. The dishes, despite their humble origins, were crafted with the precision and creativity of a seasoned chef. Having spent time in northern Italy and west Croatia, the nearby Austrian peasant-inspired dishes, presented in an American mac & cheese variant, transported me back to my childhood – absolute perfection.
The totally unexpected Caprese salad variant, featuring peach instead of mozzarella over a ricotta spread, was simply brilliant. It was a refreshing and innovative take that I hadn’t anticipated. However, my choice of pairing the meal with beer tasting sliders was a slight overkill – that was on me. A good, simple red wine would have been a much better choice.
The staff at The Wild Hare works tirelessly to deliver a top-notch experience, but their broad offering of café, kitchen, and brewery seems to dilute their identity somewhat. It feels like they’re trying to do it all, which might be stretching them too thin.
A strong call to the Hudson community to support this hidden gem is necessary. It was unjustly quiet on a Friday night, which shouldn’t be the case in a fortunate and cultured neighborhood like Hudson. This place deserves to be bustling with the good-standing and good-tasting folks who can appreciate the effort and quality being put forth here.

Visited the Wild Hare after apple picking with the family . Kids enjoyed the grilled cheese and hot chocolate, while the adults had the chicken sandwich, eggs with toast along with a ice coffee and beer. Great spot for food and drinks.
