I love me some Asian food, and I have been to plenty of teriyaki places in the Lakewood area. But this is my absolute go-to when I don’t feel like trying anything new and just want some fresh and reliably good food. Eggrolls, tell me a place that makes them better, I don’t think there is one. All their fried rices are cooked fresh and to perfection. The chicken teriyaki… yummmmm. Their food is always served hot, and the portions are generous. Fried rice is packed to the brim.

A little expensive because I’m from Indy, however it is definitely worth it. The people are respectful proper and polite. Genuine etiquettecy here and was fast with what I got. Food tastes good with added vegetables and their rice is awesome.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Tried the spicy teriyaki chicken, miso soup, Chicken California Roll, Spicy California Roll and Shrimp Tempura roll. The teriyaki was very flavorful with crisp veggies. Miso soup was also delicious and the rolls were well made.

Not only is the food great! But the portion size are huge! We had a Cali roll and a crunch roll I recommend the crunch roll they both were amazing but I’m a crunch girl so I’m one sided. The sweet and sour chicken was good according to teammate. The beef short ribs were great! Gyozas definitely worth it! The egg drop soup holy moly was more than enough for three peeps! I will recommend this spot for anyone looking to keep it on a budget but also get great food!

First time there, and they were really nice and helpful as we ordered. Food tasted great. They’ve got tasty fried chicken for our small, less adventurous eater.

The food was way to salty, ordered teriyaki beef, you use to get big portions. Noe you half and the price went up. There was more sauce then meat. There was a funny taste in that sauce. Will not go back, when your not sure what your eating. Yuk.

The food here is “smack you in the mouth” delicious. The plates are presented beautifully, the restaurant is kempt and clean, and it’s a nice place to enjoy lunch or takeout.

Randomly love trying new restaurants. This place is by far one of the best teriyaki’s I’ve had to date. The chicken was not dry like most other teriyaki stores, well cooked and lightly seasoned. The salad was on par and the spicy California roll was very good! Just the right amount of spicy and flavor. Definitely would come back here with the rest of my family next time.

Koto is my #1 teriyaki restaurant in lakewood or University Place. My favorite is sesame chicken. My son loves to get the teriyaki and katsu combo plate with Gyoza. He doesn’t eat the inside of the gyoza so I cut them in half and give him the outsides. Very friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere.
