Amanda was personable, professional, and genuinely friendly — I wish we met more bartenders like her! Our drinks were always full, the conversation was great, and she even shared awesome ideas on things to do and places to check out while we were in town. Excellent service all around.
My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary in broken bow and purchased VIP concert tickets to see Ole 60 (the concert/artist was amazing) BUT the VIP tickets were not what was advertised when we purchased them.
When we purchased the tickets we were informed that we would have priority seating, EXCLUSIVE bottle service, an amazing table service etc. this is NOT what we got.
For starters the VIP Seating area was at the very back of the venue furthest from the stage and at the same height level of the other concert goers on the floor, but not a huge issue. They provided tables and chairs and did have a bar area but did not provide any exclusive bottle service nor did we have any type of server the entire time.
The biggest issue is the bartender that was on the floor serving the floor area. She sat on the edge of the barrier which was directly in front of VIP view. The majority of the time she proceeded to stand and record the ENTIRE concert on her personal phone. It got to the point that server VIP guest asks manager to move her due to us not getting the view we paid for.
A VIP guest went to the floor at one point and asked her to be cautious of standing due to her blocked VIP view. The bartender told that guest that “I don’t know why you purchased VIP because you don’t ever see the concert and that she tells people to never buy VIP”.
When we bought the tickets we weren’t given a layout of how the VIP section was going to be set up or that we would have a bartender not doing her job and pretty much attended th concert for free.
The pictures attached are of the bartender finally sitting but recording the concert AGAIN and completely ignoring the gentleman standing next to her who has been asking for a beer for a solid 3 minutes. Doesn’t seem like a big deal but people paid good money to attend this concert and we got a crappy deal.
Unfortunately we will never be attending another concert (VIP or regular) here again.
Unfortunately, what I envisioned as a nice evening turned into a frustrating experience.
We were waitlisted and essentially forgotten. After checking four separate times on our status, we were finally seated upstairs at a high-top table—well over an hour later. Had I not noticed that we were marked off the waitlist without being contacted, we likely would have been ignored entirely. The general attitude from staff felt very much like “sucks to be you.”
I asked about speaking with a manager and was met with indifference, as if there was no point. To make matters worse, multiple large groups (20+ people) arrived after us and were seated and served before we even sat down.
The appetizer menu looked promising, but by the time we were seated, over 1½ hours had passed and the restaurant was nearing closing, so we ordered only our entrées.
The sirloin was not cooked medium rare as ordered—it was closer to medium-well (see photo), tough, and poorly seasoned. I didn’t send it back because the restaurant was about to close and I didn’t trust that a remake would come out in a reasonable time. The chicken-fried steak was good, but that was the only bright spot of the meal.
The server staff didn’t stay behind to check the status of the steak being cooked to order as is customary. We only saw our server once more after the food was dropped off and that was for the check.
For anyone considering a visit: make a reservation if possible and stay on top of the check-in stand. The waiting area is crowded and chaotic, and this is not a place to go if you’re in a hurry.
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience overall. Looks like we’ll be heading back to the steakhouses in Fort Worth, TX to make up for it.
Drinks were fine and pretty prompt with only one person behind the bar. Food was aggressively mediocre. Lots seemed frozen and shipped in rather than fresh. Decorations and ambience were near and probably would have been more fun under different circumstances. There’s definitely better places to spend your money in Hochatown.
The food was actually amazing. The issues are that it took 1.5 hours for 5 people to get food and two of those five never got theirs.
Then the manager understandably, tried to make it right. Totally understandable I suppose.
Here’s the major issue, night club. I go- our vehicle gets blocked in by another vehicle, even though WE WERE PARKED CORRECTLY.
I go tell the door staff, ten min later the security manager comes out and is absolutely slammed busy, asks me to go up to the DJ to announce over the speaker for the owner to move their car.
I go up to the DJ booth and he replies with “nope go get bar security” I inform him I’ve been asked to come up here. He was so rude and waived his hand in my face, then tells me to go get security. Very rudely . It’s now been 30 mins and I’m just trying to leave.
I go back down stairs and tell the door staff I need to move my car this is enough. He said ok give him now another min to go back up to the DJ booth. That he was busy and the DJ was right that’s proper protocol. Meanwhile here comes the DJ who is now at the door yelling at my husband saying we were rude. He even shouted in front of everyone people how I was a CUNT . I wasn’t polite after being told to leave a DJ booth I was asked to go to and trying to leave for 40 mins with my car trapped. In no way did I curse at that man or do anything to provoke that response.
Do not come here. The parking lot and the cars getting blocked in seems to be a regular occurrence. The bar staff is ill equipped to handle how to proceed with moving vehicles let alone emotions.
I truly have never experienced anything like this
