In 1956 Olivia and Julio Garcia gathered the very best of the family’s traditional recipes and opened the first Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona. Garcia’s proudly used only the freshest ingredients to create the finest Mexican dishes. Garcia’s tradition of freshness is apparent in our authentic, original recipes. Our sauces, salsas, guacamole, chips, beans, rice, and meat dishes are prepared each day in our kitchen using only the freshest ingredients. We cook with no lard and only cholesterol-free vegetable oil. Low-fat options are available upon request.

We really love this place and the bean dip and salsa alone could be a whole meal because it is that good. The food was solid all around with favorites like ultimate nachos flautas and avocado enchiladas plus a chill vibe and an attentive server. The only downside was some loud kids seated behind us which put a small damper on the experience but overall it was still good.

Cheery decor, good service, and solid Arizona-Sonoran Mexican dishes. My relleno was delicious. The menu says they are made fresh daily. The soft drink cup was huge. Maybe 24 ounces. I was able to pay at a tableside tablet.

Nice Mexican look a like restaurant. Waiter came to take order and to deliver it and no refills nor anything else. Make sure you don’t ask for charro beans because you’ll get boiled beans with fresh pico on top, who in the world thinks that charro beans was that??? This is an Americanized want to be Mexican Restaurant. The decoration was the only Mexican part about it.

Great service when we visited. The waitress who served us was friendly and answered all our questions. The restaurant was larger than I expected. It has a bit of a chain restaurant feel to it. It kinda made me think that it seems a bit like a Mexican restaurant version of Applebee’s (if that makes any sense). I thought it was interesting that there was three types of Tabasco sauce and only one Mexican hot sauce. I really enjoyed my meal. The chips and salsa and beans were great. I had a chimichanga with black beans.
