Social Profile:

Since opening in 2001, Mojito has been a cozy corner of Latin American culture in the heart of Maple Leaf. We believe that great food brings people together — and every guest who walks through our doors is treated like family. Owner Luam Wersom built Mojito on the values of warmth, generosity, and community support. We proudly partner with local organizations, including the University District Food Bank and other Seattle nonprofits. We have moved to our forever home on Roosevelt Way Ne and we are excited to share our larger location with the neighborhood and all of Seattle. After two years of construction we are open. Right across the street from the Maple Leaf Reservoir Park, we serve lunch and dinner daily, and weekend brunch….

Latin American cooking & cocktails served in a bright little eatery with occasional live music.

This place was a bit of a let down. I’ll admit Cuban/latin food isn’t Seattle’s strong point and a lot of people haven’t had it before, but compared to anything I’ve had elsewhere it was pretty flavorless. It wasn’t bad, but it was pretty bland other than the pabellon, which tasted very strongly of tinned tomatoes. It was quite sweet and reminiscent of a pulled meat smothered in cheap bbq sauce. The steak was fine and cooked well but had no seasoning aside from the sauce on top which was mostly garlic. The tostones were okay. Nothing special. The Maduros that came with my plate were the highlight tbh. My pabellon was $25 for a not very large plate and not a lot of flavor. The rice and beans portion were kind of small.

This place is LOUD. We knew that coming in as we tried to come another time but the wait was too long. We even brought ear plugs but it was still loud. It was hard to have even short conversations across the table.

Incredible Empanadas, they were definitely the highlight of the day! We got the Tres Amigos – the platter with Yucca fries, Tostanes and Maduros which is a great sharing plate. Everything we ordered was delicious, except the Pescado Mojito (rock fish) – unless you like your fish extremely bland and tasteless, avoid it. The staff were really amazing and super friendly. We will definitely be going back!

The Monday lunch vibe in here was perfect. We were able to have a great conversation. The menu is full of delicious options. Everything we ate was cooked to perfection. A special shout out to the shrimp in the appetizer, the sauce served alongside it, and the tender juiciness of the steak. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The picture is only showing half of the appetizer because we split it.

We went for brunch today and had an absolutely wonderful tortilla, an empanada, and the vaca frita with egg over the top of it was to die for. Yum!

We discovered Mojito while we were visiting Seattle. And it was so good we just HAD to go back a second time before heading home! The food was delicious, the drinks were strong (highly recommend the million dollar mojito!) and the vibe was welcoming. But the standout of both our meals here was the service from Anna, who was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a good time and enjoyed our food! She was truly exceptional. We’ll make this a necessary stop whenever we come to Seattle!

The new brunch menu is incredible, a mixture of delicious Latin American flavors, we share as a family the Victoria Plato, Victor Plato and the Especial de Julio, and some passion fruit Mimosas and the Bloody Mary Mojito, available on Saturdays and Sundays, thanks to the Mojito Family for innovating every day and bringing us the best.

Went to Mojito on a Saturday night 15 min right after opening and got a table for 2 right before the place filled up. This place was incredible. The food tasted amazing and there was great service. Ordered the grilled chicken and empanadas with tres leches. All was delicious, though parts of the grilled chicken breast was a little dry. Otherwise, all was good, especially the habanero sauce. The owner stopped by to say Hi. Line out the door the entire time we dined. Can’t wait to visit again.
