Ended up here after not being able to find a table in downtown Boca during the busy holiday season. Both my wife and I have had our fair share of Thai food having lived on the west coast for some time so we came in with rather low expectations. When we arrived there were a few people at the bar and two tables occupied. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp and my wife ordered tofu fried rice. The pad Thai was quite good; the shrimp were plump and delicious and the portion was generous. Would recommend and order again. The fried rice was sub par. It tasted as if it had been fried in coconut oil or butter which give it a rich/heavy taste. Not pleasant. Other than that there wasn’t much flavor and not many veggies. After we finished our meals it felt like we were forgotten as our server didn’t return for 20 minutes. Several large parties had arrived in the meantime, but come on, we are only a party of 2, refill our water, bring us our check and let us get on with our night. In short, pad Thai was good, fried rice bad, and next time would order takeout.

I don’t like to do negative reviews, however if this restaurant doesn’t know there is a problem, it cannot be addressed and fixed.
First, I must say the website is misleading. In the pictures it shows sushi which is no longer on the menu. I was going to order sashimi and Tom Kha or Tom Yum soup. That is now nonexistent there. I settled for the Tofu stir fry at a 4/5 heat level. It had no heat and was VERY VERY salty. My other half ordered the Great Lakes Walleye at a price tag of $30 for the plate. He said the best part was the asparagus. We ate at the bar and the bartender Ron was very accommodating however we came for the food. So, unfortunately we were very much disappointed.

We started out our meal with the tastiest Pork Dumplings and dipping sauce. The Pad Thai came quickly to our table with a delightful presentation. The chef prepared scallops upon request which made this dish perfect! The Fusion Restaurant will be our new favorite spot when vacationing on Boca Grande.

Excellent Dinner. Party of 3 we each had something different (Scallops, Salmon, and ribs) and all meals were very excellent and very tasty. Great little restaurant in the North end of the Island. We loved it.

No view, no light, the server didn’t know dry from sweet in wine, the portion size was small, four spears of asparagus, and a 1/4 cup of I think they were mashed potatoes for $18 didn’t impress me much.
