Plate Expectations
Neighborhood restaurant/bar serving the usual menu of burgers, sandwiches and po-boys. I had the gumbo which is not listed in the menu. It had a nice dark roux with mostly chicken and a few pieces of sausage. The alligator sausage po-boy was good, but not great. The roast beef po-boy was flavorful and nicely seasoned. The fries were done well with a nice crunch. There is a big patio as well as a porch for outdoor seating. Music on Friday’s and Saturday’s, as well.

It was great there!! Our hostess, Vanessa, sat us down in a timely manner (which was great considering we were a party of 6). The outdoor seats she guided our group was lovely and the live band playing created a great atmosphere as we waited for our food. Our waiter, Allie, was very nice and brought out our food quite quickly and checked up on our table for refills multiple times, which was nice.

10 min to the airport. Great food! I had the hamburger and I it was hand pattied! Lots on the menu and a nice little bar too! Outside seating as well.

Great food and a really fun, relaxed atmosphere. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere made it a perfect spot to hang out and enjoy the meal. Our server, Cierra, was great! We’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the event. This was our group’s 1st visit to RiverShack. I would go back. Our plan for the evening was dinner followed by attending a play at the nearby Rivertown Theater. Close parking was available WITHOUT charge. Our personable young blonde waitress was quite attentive inspite of a busy evening. She kept her cool. We ate outside. Heaters were available for our comfort, however the propane tanks emptied within 5 minutes. The staff was too busy to replace the tanks during our tenure. “Stuff happens”
Once again, I would go back
The 4 piece band that started at 7PM was quite good. The seasoned singer, the only member of the band I spoke with, was a true joy to talk with.

Really cute, family friendly place!! The food was delicious and had a good amount of options to choose from. Highly recommend the eggrolls for a starter! Everyone working was super nice and friendly. Service was really fast too for being busy. Our food came out right away. I really liked the bar too. They have purse hooks and outlets underneath, super convenient!

Large group (about 20, kids included) and overall a great experience. Sierra (sp?) was an incredible server—tons of seat changes, requests, and orders, and she handled it all with a smile and great attitude.
Food was really good and the atmosphere is great for kids. One concern: a side gate opens directly to Williams Blvd and management WOULDN’T allow it to be closed, which was stressful with kids, especially since there’s a large open entrance nearby that people were already using.
Still a great spot, and Sierra truly made our group very happy!

This is a really cool place that offers a variety of sandwiches and wraps. The atmosphere is very bright, welcoming, and airy. There’s as much, if not more, seating outdoors with a connection bar on the one side. The food was good. I would have liked a little more fish on the poboy. The queso is very good, but again, a little on the smaller side. The service was exceptional. Definitely a place to add to your list to try!!

The rivershack is a super cute place with wonderful employees! Our waitress was so funny and friendly and the food was really good. 4 stars because there isn’t a lot of vegetables. The alligator was good, and the crab cake has little filler.
