Every single dish was bursting with flavor — truly some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time. You can taste the freshness, care, and authenticity in every bite. The spices were perfectly balanced, the portions generous, and everything was beautifully presented. On top of that, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was kind and attentive. Ashami isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Can’t wait to come back again and again! ️

Wonderful Syrian style food. Great atmosphere and service, very friendly and attentive. Lots of menu options that you don’t see at other restaurants like fattah in many variations and bamia. I will be back to try other recipes, it looks like they have a stage for music which would be fun!

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The Fava beans dish was straight from the can and wasn’t spice very well. The fatty was ok but too salty. The manakyyish Zaatar were basically a toasted pita bread with some Zaatar over it. Sojok tasted like normal ground beef with some spices. The only thing that was acceptable in my opinion was that Falafel. It tastes OK. In general I’m disappointed at this place

If you are looking for a traditional Syrian experience you must try Al Shami. The food was very authentic and fresh and the owner personally served us. They do all you can eat buffet on Saturdays and all you can eat buffet on Sundays .A must try for sure

This place is fantastic. I’m Middle Eastern and the food here is legit. Tastes just like my mom’s cooking and you can tell it’s all made with authenticity and care in mind. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It was worth the 39 minute Uber ride from DC. I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for authentic Syrian food, this is your place. Excuse the photos… I dug in before remembering to take pictures

What a lovely Syrian restaurant! The beef and lamb kibbe were so flavorful and crunchy (the best I ever had and I have been to Egypt and have lots of friends from Lebanon), the tabouli had zing, the fava beans were hearty, the cheese cigars were light and not at all oily while the hummus and desserts were right on the mark. They also make their own pickles which were very refreshing on a hot summer day. And the prices, we ate well for $25 each.

Outstanding Syrian food and service. Every dish we tried was incredibly flavorful and clearly made with care. The menu has everything you could want from Syrian cuisine, and each bite was rich, authentic, and delicious. On top of that, the service was excellent, warm, attentive, and very welcoming. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had, try the Beef Shawarma, the Eggplant Fatteh, and Kibbeh, AND don’t forget the Dubai Knafeh. I highly recommend.
