I’m from New Jersey, and traveled to California for work. Thai Thyme in Pasadena was the first restaurant I ate at after landing in CA and I really enjoyed it! The hostess was very friendly (I wish I got her name!) and gave me great suggestions. I ordered two appetizers, the Curry Puff and BBQ chicken. I got sticky rice to have with the BBQ chicken after the hostess laughed at me for suggesting that I was going to it eat it alone . It was a great suggestion on her part. Everything tasted authentic. The food took some time to come out, but I could tell that it was because it was made fresh. However the hostess gave me some free soup, while I waited. That was very kind and thoughtful of her! The plating for both dishes were beautiful! Unfortunately, I only took a picture of the Curry Puffs. Hard working staff doing the best they can for their patrons. It was a pleasure to dine here

We ordered a Thai glass noodle salad with chicken, pot stickers and beef pad see ew. Each dish came out separately but the wait was not long at all. Everything was delicious! The service was great, because they came to check on us several times, ensuring our water glasses were always full. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the temperature of the restaurant; I don’t think there’s air conditioning. On a very hot day like today (over 90 degrees) it was not easy to ignore how hot I felt.

Server has attention to detail and well educated in the dishes they have, went in looking for specific item and ended up choosing another thanks to her recommendation, The dish that I chose to get was the drunken noodles, the flavor and the ingredients are well combined and the vegetables still have a crispiness to it even though they’re fried, I also got to try a new mango pudding, let me tell you as someone who loves fruity desserts, this was a PLUS for me, Loved it. Will be recommending this spot to others and coming back myself for sure!

After an amazing meal with great service, the owner came out to tell us about his cooking methods. His explanations of reduced oil and sugars made us appreciate the meal even more. Definitely would come back again and recommend!

We ordered to go, but plans changed. So we asked to sit down. They wouldn’t give us a straight answer, but they basically said no. There were so many open tables. Also that was the saltiest tom kha I have ever had. I couldn’t even get at half of it. It was so bad.

Great food. Just a little pricey, but worth it. Panama curry is excellent!

Finally! Some decent Thai food in Pasadena. We had the Crab Fried Rice and Chicken Panang. Both were fabulous!!!
Update: Ordered from here again! Was not disappointed; everything was excellent! Ordered Crab Fried Rice, Chicken Panang, Egg Rolls, and Chicken Gyzos. Best Thai I’ve had in a long, long time.

Agree with DRs review. We ate there shortly after they opened. We had Pad Thai at Suriya for years but the noodles now were hard and chewy. They were not Pad Thai noodles but thicker more like linguine that was undercooked. Everything else was good but the chewy noodles spoiled the experience. That needs to change.

Pad Thai should be amazing but it wasn’t that great. The noodles were a weird consistency, the chicken and beef was flavorless and chewy. All in all it was ok but most pad Thai doesn’t taste like this. I wouldn’t come back. There’s something missing
