Artichoke Basille’s Pizza has some really delicious pizza. I had the margherita pizza, and it was so flavorful and fresh. I also tried the artichoke pizza, which was so good and creamy. I honestly didn’t think I would like the artichoke pizza at first, but it ended up being really delicious and my favorite. This place is very popular and gets packed, even around 1 PM. The good thing is you can either sit inside or order it to go.

The food here more than makes up for the claustrophobia you feel when you enter this place. You may be sandwiched in between people as you give the cashier your food order depending on when you go. Late night tends to be the most active as well as weekends. Obviously it’s namesake pizza, the artichoke pizza is a fan favorite, and even though it’s good, I find that the vodka pizza is even better. The dough is freshly made a is the sauce used on the pizza, no artificial flavors(that I can detect) and even thought the price is somewhat steep compared to other places. If you’re looking for an above average pizza place that’s hits all the right food buttons, I would recommend this place. Most places are carry out but if you don’t mind eating standing up, then you would do well here.

It’s an amazing place for their speciality artichoke pizza. There are other options which was good too I personally liked the crab pizza. Street parking available but don’t count on it. Walkable from Washington square park , there are couple of seating available for dining in but best bet is takeaway. Would def recommend and come back.

I would say this is one of the most favorite pizza in NYC! For $6 their pizza is hella big! Try the artichoke one, its really good!

Worth every penny of the $7 and some change artichoke slice. Insanely good. Somehow smooth creamy but not runny. Tasted like the best part of artichoke dip on top of delicious pizza crust. Ten out of ten would never walk by a location and not get a slice. Crazy good in a city with good cheap slices already.

I honestly don’t know how this pizza left the shop looking like this. When I opened the box, more cheese and sauce were stuck to the lid than on the pizza itself. Everything had slid forward so badly that the toppings and sauce spilled off, leaving a half-smashed, half-bare pie swimming in a puddle. The dough wasn’t even fully cooked.
Pizza should not require damage control and a spatula just to eat it. Until they figure out quality control and packaging, I will never order here again.

The most perfect slice of pizza I’ve ever had! No exaggeration, the kind you’ll have dreams about afterward from thousands of miles away.
Got their signature white sauce — even though the slices are MASSIVE and drizzled with olive oil on top, it’s still somehow NOT overly greasy, and I was able to inhale the entire slice without any trouble. Perfectly crisp thin but well risen crust, seasoned well without being too salty, and perfectly flavourful (somewhat subtle and multilayered yet not too bland to taste only of cheese).
The service was friendly, warm, and efficient, and there wasn’t a line either around noon. HIGHLY recommend going out of your way for this location – will definitely be back next time I’m in the city!

We got the crab pizza and it was pretty good!! I think I just tend to like thinner crust pizzas with red sauce, so it wasn’t my fav.
