My husband and i love BBQ and We LOVEEEE coming here! The meat is amazing!!!! The sides are amazing!!!! And you get a good portion with it. My husbands favorite part about this place beside the incredible meat, are the sauces. There are so many of them to choose from. You and your family can have fun choosing which one you like the best. I recommend definitely checking this place out! You will NOT be disappointed!

Pretty good for NJ BBQ. The price per lb has been slowly going up. The ribs are always a good choice and consistent as far as how it’s cooked. The brisket is usually pretty good, although there have been more than a few times where even the cut from the point (juicer side) has been a little dry and chewy. The wings are decent. All in all of the three smoked meats I’ve tried I’d say you can definitely taste the smokiness of it all in a good way and the dry rub is pretty good as well.

Quite simply, this place just isn’t worth it.

Pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich were about 10 bucks a piece. Not terrible. Except the pulled pork was dry and tasted a little sour. I don’t know if that was the intent, but it missed the mark here. Brisket was mediocre, not the best I’ve had, but not the worst. Not very flavorful. Fries and beans were also down the middle, but not worth the 5 and 4 dollars respectively. The corn bread was tasty but 2 dollars only gets you a mini muffin the size of a to go sauce container.

The cost is not worth this level of mediocrity. The place was clean. One staff member was completely disinterested in being at work, the other was very hospitable. The Great deserve greatness and this ain’t it chief.

I always get takeout- the sides are great, and the 1/2 pound portions of brisket and pork are phenomenal. It’s high quality deliciousness at fast food prices. The spicy barbeque sauce makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The guys behind the counter are great, and there is never a wait in the evening. I hear they do get busy at lunch, but I’m never in the area at lunch so that doesn’t matter to me.

Wow! 10 stars. Best brisket I’ve ever had. The sauces were all so different and better than any other BBQ shacks offerings. Friendly staff. They walk you through it all. Menu is simple. Smoked sausage is something you must try. Prices are par for high end BBQ and that is what’s being prepared and served. Premium BBQ. Don’t forget how much prep and pride goes into this food.

Food was excellent, I had a pulled pork sandwich and the smoked baked beans. The pulled pork was very good and had a vinegar flavor like a good Carolina BBQ. on the counter they had a good selection of sauces for all types of tastes, it would be nice if they had a heat index on the bottles for people that don’t like spice foods. The smoked baked beans were very flavorful and had chunks of pineapple which gave it a nice flavor. Staff was great and very helpful for first time visitors, i will definitely be returning.

Very Good Barbecue and a Good Price. The menu might be small but the portions are not. The Brisket was perfection and the pulled pork did not disappoint. Although somewhat tucked away, it is well worth putting the address into Google Maps and enjoying, Smoked Chicken or St Louis Ribs or Brisket and so much more.

Freshest meat I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Different sauces were fantastic. Pulled pork 10 stars. Brisket 10 stars. Ribs 10 stars. Great helpful staff behind the counter. The jalapeño biscuits were excellent. Just one of those things you have to try. Everything seemed to be made fresh on site. Veteran owned and operated. Always love supporting vets and will continue to do so. Decor inside was perfect for a smoke house.

Great bbq. Had the brisket, mother had smoked Turkey. 20 percent of for veterans, 10 percent for first responders. Told an ex marine I know about this place, he loved the ribs. Real simple place take out, or order at counter. A few tables to eat in.
