Did a take out from here for dinner – paid $59 for 4 vegetarian dishes which were tom yum with tofu, vegetarian stir fry, pineapple curry with tofu and rice and papaya salad. Large portions and everything was stunning 10/10 recommend if you’re close to the national park. Sweet lady who took our order.

New prices. Check my photos. Great little Thai Cart in Volcano Hawaii. Everything is about $5 cheaper than the sit-down Thai Restaurant down the road (also very amazing). All the expected dishes with Local twist. Support these hard working ladies!! NOTE: They never asked me how spicy I wanted my Curry or Pad See Ew….so be sure to just TELL THEM!! Although.. maybe they are tired of people complaining about the food being too spicy and just give it to you on the side as a precaution. I would say most foodies know that food carts are usually the best food over a restaurant in general and I would say this place is no exception.
It helps that this place is open when the other tie carts are closed or the other Thai restaurant is closed.
I have tried all the Thai carts and restaurants in volcano and they all are exceptionally good so it’s good to make the rounds.

Delicious Thai food. Perfect nourishing meal at night when it gets a bit chilly. We got the red curry which fed 2 people medium hungry. You could get 2 things if you have a larger appetite. It’s very reasonably priced and tasty! Thinking about going again! And she made it without fish sauce for anyone that’s vegetarian – just ask them!

I ordered a Pad Thai on January 10th at lunchtime during my visit of Volcano National Park, and a few hours later I immediately experienced symptoms of food poisoning, including multiple episodes of vomiting. Unfortunately, this meal ruined my day and the following one. Looking back, I noticed that the food was stored in a cooler in their vehicle, which strongly calls into question their compliance with basic sanitary rules on a sunny day. If you don’t want to ruin your vacation and care about your health, I strongly advise against this restaurant.

We had the cashew chicken for the first time it was loaded with vegetables, chicken, and cashews. The most amazing Thai food we have ever had. The taste was absolutely out of this world, and the portions were super generous, loved all the fresh vegetables! We are only visiting for 10 days and have been back every day that they’re open!!!

Aunty Pon’s serves delicious Thai food if you are fortunate to visit when they are open. The portions are huge and filling, and the service was excellent. I recommend calling ahead to check if they are open. There may also be a wait for the food especially during lunch time as the truck is quite small and it takes time to cook and prepare a lot of the meals. Overall I would still highly recommend a meal here!

Large portions and quick services! We ordered the curry, noodle and papaya salad that was more than enough to serve 4 hungry ladies after our crater hike. Probably the cheapest meal we had on the island. There are park benches and tables to eat on as well. No covering as it did start to sprinkle at the end of our meal.
