What a charming, beautiful spot right on the marina! We came for a casual meal and enjoyed the mahi mahi and shrimp tacos — both fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is laid-back, with a great waterfront view, cozy nautical décor, and just the right touch of playful charm.
I didn’t get to dive into their famous seafood feasts this time, but oh, believe me, I’m already planning my return — this time with an empty stomach, ready for the full crab-and-shrimp extravaganza. This place is definitely worth coming back to when you’re craving a fun, messy, and delicious seafood experience by the water. Can’t wait!

Decided to come back to this spot after visiting once before a few months back. Food is pretty good, better prices for happy hour. Beer selection is small but not bad. Looks like they do more mixed cocktails than beer. Service is a little slow, staff is mostly young but they are attentive once they know you are there. Restrooms are decently clean. The place looks a little old but it is nostalgic because it reminds me of the old restaurants from the 90s. Definitely want to return.

Great happy hour deals everyday on food & drinks but if you want the full menu you won’t get the happy hour deals and you must sit in a different section of the restaurant the majority of the outdoor seating is for the bar section

Immediate seating for four at 5:45pm on a Saturday. Lively atmosphere with a nautical theme filled with enticing seafood aromas. Crab pot dinners were served steaming hot and full of flavor, with a clean and fresh taste throughout. Delectable and satisfying. Lots of good pickings among the meats, and everything enjoyable, including the sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. Two happy visits so far and ready for more.

we went there for brunch on jan. 1st. no wait, beautiful sunny day amidst a long raining week in so.cal. sitting outdoor by the ocean was wonderful. fish & chips was good, the soft shelled crab with (burger) buns tasted good but a bit too greasy for us. only few choices of beer but the one we selected was good so that’s all it counts waiter is friendly & helpful and pleasant. we started the new year right so thank you. we’d recommend this place & shall be back

If you’re craving fresh seafood, fun vibes, and a side of ocean breeze, The Crab Pot Restaurant & Bar in Long Beach, California is your go-to spot! This laid-back, nautical-themed gem sits right on the waterfront at Rainbow Harbor, offering killer views and even better food. Their claim to fame? The SeaFeast — a giant pile of crab legs, shrimp, clams, mussels, potatoes, corn, and sausage steamed to perfection and dumped right onto your table. Yep, it’s messy, it’s delicious, and it’s a total experience.
Throw on a bib, grab a mallet, and prepare to get cracking — it’s part dinner, part seafood smackdown. Not into shellfish warfare? No worries. The menu’s got everything from burgers and fish tacos to chowder in a sourdough bowl.
Whether you’re rolling in with friends, family, or just looking to treat yourself to a good time, the Crab Pot mixes coastal chill with serious flavor. Bonus points for the full bar and tropical cocktails that’ll have you feeling like you’re on vacation.
Sunset, seafood, and salty air — what more do you need? Next time you’re in Long Beach, pull up a chair at The Crab Pot and dive in. Just don’t forget the wet wipes.

It was nice and cold sitting outside. We asked to be seated in a sunny area and that didn’t happen. They sat us in a shaded area and it was windy, and we asked them to turn on the heaters and 2 of the close ones to us wasn’t working. They finally moved us to a table that was in the sun!
Food was ok, but not worth the price. We ordered King Alaskan Crab table feast ($69 per person) and it wasn’t what we expected. The pieces were small and thin. Not worth it.
