Authentic ramen chain with clean vibes. U sit around the kitchen island and get to see them prepare your meal. Soup is light and vegetables filled, which is great for vegetable lovers! You can add chasu (roast pork), gyoza (dumplings), egg, more vegetables, spring onions or even another staple like fried rice. Very bit too steamy for my liking as the chef has many boiling pots and frying pans going on. Their ramen is safe comfort food though.

This is my second visit to this ramen restaurant. I really like the ambiance. I feel like I’m in an Asian movie. The open kitchen and the fact that all the tables are around it is a contributing factor. The service is fast and clean. The gyoza and rice are delicious. As for the ramen, I prefer ramen with a thicker broth, but it’s wonderfully filling.

We visited this spot on our first night as we were craving for a noodle soup dish. There wasn’t a line at all and we were able to be seated immediately. The ordering process was also straightforward at the vending machine, in which we provided the tickets to the chefs. The soup broth was flavourful and the chasu pieces were big compared to some other restaurants that we’ve been to. I just wanted to note that green onions aren’t included and they’re an add-on (although I wish it was).

Delicious ramen, full of flavour and perfectly prepared. Great vibe in the restaurant and the open kitchen adds a fantastic touch to the whole experience. Definitely a 5-star spot!

I love the seating on this place where everyone just sits over the counter facing the kitchen and you can see the chefs making the ramen in front of you. I forgot what we ordered, but the serving was actually plenty for the price. The ramen was a bit different from the usual. It was more mellow and not a kick to your face, kind of reminiscent of another country’s noodles.

OMG! I know this is going to sound ridiculous given all the fancy restaurants out there and what not but Dotonbori Kamukura is where I had the best ramen I ever had. And I’ve been to Japan a few times, so it’s not a culture shock based opinion. It was rich in flavor, super fresh, and so so so good! They also have meat-less and konjac-based noodle options for all the vegetarians and gluten sensitive folks out there too. 🙂 Oh, and the portions are so big, you’ll be hard pressed to finish them. I mean the size of this bowl i had – the picture doesn’t give it justice – so let me just tell you that i haven’t got a single plate/bowl as big so home. Not even close.

I went to try this place because it’s another popular chain ramen shop, similar to Ichiran, and I’ve seen it filled with locals quite a few times. That made me curious enough to give it a shot.
Their basic ramen is one of the most affordable options I’ve seen, though there are plenty of variations and extra toppings available. The ramen looks very large at first, but that’s likely due to the oversized bowl rather than the actual portion. Seating is fairly comfortable and not too cramped. The atmosphere is fine, but not really a place you’d want to linger, which is understandable for this type of shop.
As for the ramen itself, it had very little flavor overall. The noodles were quite thin, and the chashu was also very thin and didn’t have much flavor to distinguish it from the rest of the bowl. If your goal is simply to eat something quick and filling, it does the job. That said, even for that purpose, I’d personally prefer almost any other local ramen shop.
Overall, it just wasn’t appealing to me. I can see how it might work for others, but it’s not something I’d come back to.

Such good ramen! Definitely a crowded place, seating is very limited and not suitable for big groups, is very fast paced more of a eat and go place however food is very good and even though you’re so close to the next person doesn’t make the food any less enjoyable!

Considering the location the prices and quality of food was very good, and the portions were generous. We got ramen, karaage and gyoza. Ramen and gyoza were great. Karaage chicken was not the best we tried, but overall ok. The staff was nice and welcoming. If you’re in the Shibuya region, definitely give this place a try.
