We’ve been serving the Bay Area for over a decade and are pleased to host everything from dates and family lunches to bigger events. Came here for a work dinner and we had an alright time. We ordered a variety of drinks, appetizers, and entrees and were (overall) very underwhelmed. Their wine selection was okay and drinks were alright (would not recommend their espresso martini). I enjoyed their appetizers more than their mains, and would recommend their brussel sprouts and ahi poke. I got their sirloin steak and shrimp scampi combo for my entree and was heavily disappointed. My order came out MUCH later than the rest of my table (some of my peers already finished their meals by the time mine came). Moreover, I did not receive the shrimp scampi AND despite having ordered the steak rare, it came well done and was very tough. I could not eat it. Service was very polite though. Overall, I had a very underwhelming time here and would not come back.

The food and drink options were very good. The server did everything she could to make sure our dining experience was pleasurable. Great place to eat and decent pricing. My only gripe as you eat garlic bread or you get nothing. No bread options. The server took a sandwich apart and toasted the bread so I could have a piece.

Great food and drink. This year’s Grand Cru is excellent, many times better than last year. Service from Alicia was exceptionally outstanding!!!! We always love enjoying a great meal here!!!!

The new smash burger I had lettuce wrapped was great, and the fries were perfectly golden and crispy.

The service is always excellent. Great personal all meat pizza. Outstanding pizookies. Beers are fantastic.
I suggest you order appetizers, enjoy them, and as you are finishing them, then order the salad or soup for your upcoming meal, but do not tell the server what the main course will be until the salads or soups are just about finished. This is the only way to not get everything delivered at once. Even if the server writes down instructions, the kitchen has failed to follow instructions multiple times.

I came here because I love their Sriracha brussel sprouts and I hadn’t had any any long time. The service was very professional and pleasant. The food came fast after it was ordered. Last night, after a long day, I decided to have dinner here. Wow, it was lively, loud and active. Every server, bus boy, restaurant worker were busy serving! They worked together, quickly and in harmony. I was served quickly and the food was good. I had an expired coupon, which my server worked to resolve, though she didn’t have to. I had an enjoyable dinner here and recommend it, even if you’re eating alone; you won’t be alone!

My family and I ate here a while ago and I really liked the food here! I had a clam chowder and I ate some of the mini corn dogs and other dishes which my family ordered. The pizzookies are always really good too! I’d definitely recommend eating here!

Omg !!!I can’t say how excellent the service and food is every single time my family and I come to BJs in Newark. All the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and new items to suggest. My server today was Jessica L. And she was a GEM and wish I could experience her pleasant personality each time. From the time we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile by Maharshi ho seated us. And then here came the smile and patient Jessica L who came ready to serve and leave us with a satisfying dining experience. She went above and beyond! And I noticed the manager Brandon from another location and spoke with him about how well his restaurant runs and his staff of these amazing people exceeded my expectations as it does every time.

We waited for over 30 minutes while the server passed our table multiple times, checking on other guests but never once stopping to see if we were ready to order. When we finally asked for someone to take our order, they walked off to talk with other coworkers instead. It’s really unfortunate because we’ve always loved this place and usually bring groups of 5 or more people, but this time we ended up having to leave while the staff just watched us go.

Dinner update- Jan 2025: Very poor service. It took forever to get our food and the server was so full of attitude. A previous server took our order and one of the dishes comes with salad. When new server Tom took over, we asked about salad and he says I don’t know. He can’t hear well too so you have to raise your voice.

We got chicken, it came with celery! It wasn’t washed properly, the dirt was visible as seen on the picture. I got diarrhea from the food or the unwashed vegetables. My birthday turn to being sick and on the toilet all night. What a shame !!!
