Had lunch there today. The grilled Shrimp salad was fabulous. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Beautiful salad. My husband had the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla and said it was very good. Claudia did a great job as our server. We will be back!

We had a great time today having a late lunch/early dinner at Blue Agave! There’s a casual, unrushed atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. I had a fajita chicken burrito with rice and beans, and a queso dip. My wife had the birria taco. It’s a big place with a full bar and it’s decorated beautifully. Take a walk in downtown Columbiana after your meal. Super experience!

After having mixed reviews from others who have come here I was told the food was not good during the week but best on the weekend. I will say I was not impressed with the food served. The staff could not have been kinder and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The margaritas were more of a sour mix and neon green in color. If there was any alcohol I did not notice and where we usually order a pitcher I am glad in this case we did not. The meat both chicken and steak was limited in flavor one comes to expect. Cute little cantina in quaint downtown Columbiana. We ordered from the a la carte selections, but I didn’t get what I ordered. Was supposed to be a chicken burrito with black beans instead of refried beans in the burrito. Instead, they gave me a chicken only burrito with black beans on the side. The beans were totally tasteless, with no epazote or any seasoning at all. Might have been more tolerable had the beans been on the burrito. Also ordered a soft, flour tortilla chicken taco and asked for just onion and cilantro in traditional Mexican style instead of the lettuce, cheese, and other junk that came on it. I got a chicken taco with chicken, lettuce, parsley, and grilled onions. Sigh, the lettuce made it gross. Can’t recommend and doubt I’d go back

I have nothing bad to say about the food, service, etc. We did have a negative experience with their takeout packaging. I have never seen soup be put in styrofoam drink cups with plastic drink lids. The hot soup instantly weakened the lids, and when the little topping cups were placed on top of them, the lids failed and we had 1/4 of our soup spill into the bottom of the bag. We still enjoyed our delicious meal, but it was definitely soured by the poor packaging. You absolutely need the standard plastic soup containers if you don’t normally stock them.

Off to a great start. Chips and salsa were great. Now the bad part…waited 25 minutes after ordering to receive my food. I am currently waiting for someone to show up with a check so I can pay. Extremely understaffed. The wait staff is neglecting anyone, they’re just covered up. My meal was delicious, however.

The chicken was precooked and just set on the dish. The vegetables were hot, but the chicken was cold. Service was slow, but average. Salsa was pretty good. Wouldn’t recommend unless it was for a chips and salsa emergency.
